One of few underclassmen who we saw running the show all weekend, Boyd has been handed the keys to the AFS offense and at times played the part like a seasoned vet. He’s a poised ballhandler who can facilitate the offense or call his own number when needed, showing an efficient downhill attack and capable perimeter stroke when left open. While on the smaller side, he’s deceptively long with athleticism to play up above the rim in space. Boyd should be ready to make noise in the Friends League this season and will see his name included in the next update to the 2029 rankings.

While camps can tend to be dominated by those who chase points or highlights, Boyd was able to stand out with his steady hand as a floor general. Playing on his home floor, he showed the comfort and IQ to make the right play at the right time while commanding his team in the halfcourt setting. Boyd was also effective as a pest on the defensive end, forcing turnovers at the point of attack to spark transition opportunities going the other way. He looks like a key long-term building block for an AFS team looking to make some moves within the Friends League landscape.
