This speedy, three level scorer has gained a reputation for having ice running through his veins that enables him to hit big shots. Fowlkes reinforced that rep during the 2nd Round of state tourney when he notched 20 points including the game winning 3-ball during Coatesville’s victory over Cumberland Valley. Along with knocking home clutch jumpers, Fowlkes uses his elite quickness and slick handles to attack the paint off the dribble. Once in the lane he can convert on floaters as well as lay-ins and execute kick-out dimes. He can also put the ball on the deck, then slam on the breaks in the mid-range for dribble pull ups. Plus, Fowlkes is a transition phenom who can push the rock for scores or assists. At the other end of the court, Fowlkes is an unrelenting on-ball defender.

With Coatesville struggling to score for much of the game, Fowlkes was the key spark that kept them in it before the rest of his teammates could get going. The energetic guard scored 14 of his 20 points before halftime, knifing into the lane with regularity for swift finishes and showing keen vision on a handful of dumpoff passes. Fowlkes spearheaded a pressure defense that would force a number of Cumberland Valley turnovers, none bigger than one in the final minute to tie the score at 56. His cold-blooded 3 with under two seconds to play was the fitting end for the senior who’s looking to earn his way onto the scholarship radar with his play.

Fowlkes sparked Coatesville as it jumped out to an early double-digit lead, scoring six of his 11 points in the opening quarter. He was a consistent pest while spearheading the Raiders’ pressure defense, turning opposing ballhandlers over to ignite the transition attack going the other way. It’s the type of energetic two-way impact Fowlkes has been known to bring to the floor. He’d be a gem for a lot of small colleges, with a chance to elevate his stock if he can be a more consistent threat as a shooter.

It is extremely early in the 2024-25 season, but Coatesville (3-0) already looks to be one of the top public-school teams in the region. One of the major reasons for that statement has been the outstanding play of Fowlkes. In Coatesville’s win over Conestoga, Fowlkes pushed the rock in transition for scores and assists. In the half-court he attacked the paint for lay-ins as well as kick outs. He smoothly executed two-man game action all night too. This past Saturday Fowlkes posted 13 points (1 three) and handed out 7 dimes (unofficially). As a bonus to his offensive output, Fowlkes was a menacing defensive presence whose quick hands produced multiple turnovers.
