Top-181 Most Impactful in the AIA

Another season is upon us this week and especially next with many teams first games of the season.   Just in case people are curious, there are 181 teams in 6A-3A. That's why I did 181 players.   Here we take a fun look at the Top-181 most impactful. These are NOT prospect rankings, but how does this player affect the outcome of their team for just this season to make a deep playoff run.   The better the team, the more players I will name and the higher those players will be since they can win a ring with Big School OPEN, 6A, 5A, 4A, Small School OPEN, 3A, 2A and 1A.   Some players lower down on the list may be on teams that have a slim chance of making the playoffs or it will be harder to make a deep run. An example is a player averages over 20 ppg but their team may go 3-15 probably won't be on the list.   If I did not mention your team, I probably feel that it is a long shot to make the playoffs this season or it is a balanced roster without that one standout player.   Top-181 Most Impactful for this AIA season:   1-[player_tooltip player_id='1129193' first='Koa' last='Peat'] Perry   The top player in the AIA is striving for that rare 4-PEAT in the OPEN. The future McDonald's All-American has the size, power, skill and feel to impact a single game more than anyone in the state. An obvious title contender in the OPEN.   2-[player_tooltip player_id='1333492' first='Michael' last='Simcoe'] Sandra Day O'Connor   The Santa Barbara commit is a southpaw that is a tough player to defend. He can find teammates when he gets doubled, hit the three when left open, rip thru in traffic and score with his back to the basket. SDO will be a title contender in the OPEN.   3- [player_tooltip player_id='1301344' first='Kingston' last='Tosi'] Millennium   The Utah State commit is one of the most efficient players in the state regardless of class and is highly effective from all levels. He loves working from the mid post and goes to work. His athleticism, skill and IQ are very high. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   4-[player_tooltip player_id='1150822' first='Cameron' last='Holmes'] Millennium   The top defensive wing in the entire AIA keeps improving his offense too. He will be asked to score more plus lock up each opponent's best player. His range, downhill play, dunks and pull-ups make him go. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   5-[player_tooltip player_id='1323290' first='Mason' last='Magee'] Basha   The top guard on the list has a lot on his plate this year with the loss of some players and seniors. He is one of the top on-ball defenders, facilitators and he'll be asked to score 20+ each night in a deep 6A. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   6-[player_tooltip player_id='1336443' first='Uriah' last='Tenette'] Prescott   Another guard that has to do a lot to win games. He may average 40+ ppg this year and he probably will have to versus the top 4A or OPEN type of teams. His speed, skill and feel are next level. They will be a title contender in 4A. He is trying to catch Corey Hawkins, Mike Bibby and BJ Burries scoring records. Some legendary players in the Grand Canyon state who all scored 3,000+ points.   7-[player_tooltip player_id='996176' first='Bryce' last='Quinet'] Notre Dame Prep   One of the top 5A teams is led by Evansville commit Quinet. He will be asked to do even more than he has been doing with guiding the team, scoring 20+ points and rebounding. He will set up his teammates and score from deep himself. They will be a title contender in 5A.   8-[player_tooltip player_id='1150901' first='John' last='Mattingly'] Central   A true difference maker will make this team a title contender in 5A. Not many guards score it as efficiently as he does. He has a big bag of pull-ups from mid to the three and always plays at his own speed. They will be a title contender in 5A.   9-[player_tooltip player_id='1286023' first='Ryan' last='Burbach'] Brophy Prep   The Cornell commit is the top shooter in the class. He will be asked to lead the tough team. His three point shooting is about as good as it gets. He squares up quickly and lets it fly. They will be a title contender in the OPEN or 6A.   10-[player_tooltip player_id='1150843' first='Andrew' last='Bhesania'] Boulder Creek   A contending 6A team is led by Bhesania. He is very versatile at his size to find teammates like a point forward, shoot threes off the catch and then post up, rebound and block shots. They will be a title contender in the OPEN or 6A.   11-[player_tooltip player_id='996172' first='D'Andre' last='Harrison'] Perry   Another rare player is trying to four-peat. The Missouri-Kansas City commit is another forward that is a super effective and efficient player. He loves it from mid-range and can shoot it from the three with his improving bounce. People don't realize how valuable and reliable he is. An obvious title contender in the OPEN.   12-[player_tooltip player_id='1150852' first='DeNali' last='McNeal'] Canyon View   The do-it-all guard is one of the best 5A guards in the AIA. He will be asked to score 25+, rebound with any guard, make plays for teammates and defend. He will flirt with some triple doubles this season. They will be a title contender in 5A.   13-[player_tooltip player_id='1651788' first='Jakyi' last='Miles'] Mesa   A rare freshman this high has a big load to carry. He will guide the team and make plays where needed and score from all three levels. His middle game is one of the most polished weapons in the AIA already. They will be a title contender in 6A.   14-[player_tooltip player_id='1546987' first='Adan' last='Diggs'] Williams Field   Another wildly talented freshman in 6A. He is already a very good defender and three level scorer. He scores on threes, fall aways and dunks. His load to carry is big but he also has some transfers to help him out. They will be a title contender in the OPEN or 6A.   15-[player_tooltip player_id='1555179' first='Darius' last='Wabbington'] Sunnyslope   Arguably the top true post player in the AIA. He has great size, the proper mass, strength and comes with a lot of skill. He will be asked to step it up with scoring from inside and out plus defending the painted area. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   16-[player_tooltip player_id='1612468' first='Cameron' last='Williams'] St. Mary's   The tall and long power forward has skill for days with jumpers from mid to the three and is a graceful mover. He makes his money by protecting the paint as he is one of the best shot blockers in 4A. They will be a title contender in the OPEN or 4A.   17-[player_tooltip player_id='1449361' first='Caspian' last='Jones'] St. Mary's   The strong senior forward plays the 2-5 for the Knights. He scores it easily from all three levels with dunks, mid-range jumpers and threes. He rebounds well with his size and strength. They will be a title contender in the OPEN or 4A.   18-[player_tooltip player_id='1986796' first='Peyton' last='Lubash'] San Tan Charter   One of the top small school guards is Lubash. He has legit volleyball line range and you have to know where he is the entirety of a game. He is one of those players that can bring a team back with his shooting, passing and scoring. They will be a title contender and one of the favorites in the OPEN for small schools.   19-[player_tooltip player_id='1369213' first='Amare' last='King'] Casteel   The NAU commit is a point forward or bigger combo guard who will have all the attention on him this season. He will be asked to defend every top player, make plays and score 20+ ppg a night. They will be a title contender in 6A.   20-[player_tooltip player_id='1379909' first='Carson' last='Grier'] Valley Christian   A bigger forward who plays nearly all five positions for one of the top 3A teams. He has good court vision to make plays, scores with downhill drives, rebounds and hits the three. They will be a title contender and one of the favorites in the OPEN for small schools.   21-[player_tooltip player_id='1369218' first='Gavin' last='Dabney'] Higley   A bigger guard can play the 1-5 for the newly minted 6A team. He makes plays, posts ups his defenders, dribble drives, dunks it in traffic and hits jumpers from mid to the three. They have a tough trio of players and they will be a title contender in 6A.   22-[player_tooltip player_id='1490240' first='Colton' last='Watson'] Sandra Day O'Connor   A bigger lead guard will guide the talented 6A team to a deep run this year. He uses his size to see over the top of the defenders to make a play or find a teammate down the court in stride. He will also score from all levels. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   23-[player_tooltip player_id='1482165' first='Rider' last='Portela'] Sunnyslope   A bigger guard will play with and without the ball. The versatile player will score from all three levels with jumpers from deep, slashing to the basket and dunks on the break. A son of a coach always seems to make the right play. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   24-[player_tooltip player_id='1555180' first='Delton' last='Prescott III'] Sunnyslope   The lead guard has the ball in his hands when it is not in Portela's hands. He has that rare college-like speed with the ball. He has advanced court vision and can slice up a defense. He scores it with deep jumpers and speed drives. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   25-[player_tooltip player_id='1364929' first='Jackson' last='Hunter'] Liberty   A wing will lead a quartet of talented players many nights. They are trying to get back to the 6A Chip with his shooting, size inside and high confidence. His pull-ups from mid to the three are tough to contain. They will be a title contender in the OPEN and 6A.   26-[player_tooltip player_id='1986797' first='Jase' last='Benjamin'] San Tan Charter   A strong framed wing has a lot on his plate this year. He will score from all levels with quickly improving skill, downhill action, dunks on the break and making plays. He will also have to defend inside and out on the perimeter. They will be a title contender and one of the favorites in the OPEN for small schools.   27-[player_tooltip player_id='2133645' first='Razin' last='Smith Jr'] The Gregory School   The big man is a load to deal with. If he is left alone, he will score in the paint with counter moves and advanced post footwork. If he is double teamed, he will find the open teammate and gobble up all rebounds in his area. They will be a title contender in 1A and one of the favorites to repeat.   28-[player_tooltip player_id='1446106' first='Jace' last='Olson'] Gilbert Christian   The bigger guard has a huge task to leading the small school this season in maybe every category with rebounding, racking up assists to obviously scoring. He scores from all levels with threes, dunks and pull-ups. They will be a title contender in the OPEN for small schools.   29-[player_tooltip player_id='1425099' first='Kaleel' last='Kelly'] Willow Canyon   A bigger scoring point guard makes his teammates better by spraying the ball around the yard. He is a better three point shooter and will still score on downhill takes with his sturdy frame. They will be a title contender in 5A.   30-[player_tooltip player_id='1873639' first='Grant' last='Mattingly'] Central   The younger brother of [player_tooltip player_id='1150901' first='John' last='Mattingly'] is another top end guard who will help them immediately. He uses his size at the guard position and tighter handle to get to the basket. He knows how to change speeds and makes plays. They will be a title contender in 5A.   31-[player_tooltip player_id='1482211' first='Noah' last='Gloor'] Higley   A gunslinger has range from well beyond the three point line. He gets it off his hands quickly and confidently. He scores with floaters and runners and will guide the team. They will be a title contender in 6A.   32-[player_tooltip player_id='1336442' first='Zane' last='Gaul'] Prescott   The big man controls the painted area. He blocks shots in his area and rebounds at a high clip. He can score with his back to the basket, hook shots and then shoot the three. They will be a title contender in 4A.   33-[player_tooltip player_id='1354953' first='I'yar' last='Shadowvine'] Ironwood   One of the top teams in 5A is very balanced but will unequivocally be led by Shadowvine. He could be top-10 in assists and still score with his speed with the ball, shooting with range and jumpers. They will be a title contender in 5A.   34-[player_tooltip player_id='1371094' first='Quincy' last='Kirk'] Canyon View   The 1-2 punch of McNeal and Kirk will be on display all year long. He will guide the team and make heady decisions with the ball. He scores from all levels with tough takes downhill, mid-range J's and threes. They will be a title contender in 5A.   35-[player_tooltip player_id='1323293' first='Tory' last='Gholston'] Coolidge   A fast on fast scoring lead guard. He has real speed with the ball and can score from all levels. He has a mean pull-up and can score with threes and speeds drives. He will have a lot on his plate this year and be leaned on every night. They will be a title contender in the small schools OPEN and 3A.   36-[player_tooltip player_id='1323296' first='Matt' last='Delgado'] Boulder Creek   The long guard can play multiple positions for the 6A team. He will have to score more points, get more rebounds and make plays with some quality seniors graduating. His shooting and versatility on defense will help the Jaguars. They will be a title contender in the OPEN or 6A.   37-[player_tooltip player_id='2412268' first='Maurice' last='Carter II'] Willow Canyon   Another star freshman will make a big impact for the talented 5A team. His speed with the ball, skill from all levels, jump shots from mid to three, on-ball defense and court vision will be felt immediately. They will be a title contender in 5A.   38-[player_tooltip player_id='1490239' first='Daylen' last='Sharper'] Brophy Prep   A bigger lead guard has the size, strength and skill to lead the talented roster. He has good court vision, he is a plus defender and plays unselfishly. The two-spot star can also score. They will be a title contender in the OPEN or 6A.   39-[player_tooltip player_id='1685490' first='Patrice' last='Mpouli'] Williams Field   A transfer by way of Hamilton will be a big boost after he sits his 9 games and is eligible to play. A wildly talented and athletic guard is a top defender and downhill threat. He is a star on the break and brings energy. They will be a title contender in the OPEN and 6A.   40-[player_tooltip player_id='1432044' first='Ethan' last='Stokes'] Rancho Solano Prep   A long and athletic wing forward can score with deep threes, drives, offensive rebound put backs and will dunk it with authority. He will be a tough match-up in 2A nightly. They will be a title contender and one of the favorites in the OPEN for small schools.   41-[player_tooltip player_id='1893665' first='Cisco' last='Llamas'] Sahuaro   They are trying to get back to the 4A State Finals and Llamas will lead them this year. He is quick on quick and can get a step on his defender to the basket but he also comes with deep range. He is a very good passer and leader. They will be a title contender in 4A.   42-[player_tooltip player_id='1542272' first='Michael' last='Payne'] Cholla   Another quick scoring lead guard comes with volleyball-line three point range. He showed off at Section-7 with multiple deep ones to beat Desert Mountain and advance to the big weekend. He is very tough on the ball defensively and his shooting separates him from many. They will be a title contender in 4A.   43-[player_tooltip player_id='1900362' first='Colby' last='Jessup'] Valley Christian   A bigger scoring lead guard with some of the deepest three point shooting range in 3A. His IQ and feel are very high and he knows how to change speeds. He will replace Luke Shaw as their primary scorer next to Grier. They will be a title contender and one of the favorites in the OPEN for small schools.   44-[player_tooltip player_id='1490908' first='Bobby' last='Rodriguez'] North Valley Christian Academy   The scoring lead guard has been guiding the 1A team for years and now they class up to 2A. He can score it from all levels and is highly skilled and hyper competitive. They will be a title contender for the OPEN for small schools and 2A favorites if they don't end up one of the 8 final schools.   45-[player_tooltip player_id='1817666' first='Stephan' last='Iron Shell'] Arizona Lutheran   One of the top shooters in all of 2A. The lefty has a clip from the three point line with range and a quick trigger. If he gets off the line he can shoot it on the move or get to the basket. They will be a title contender in the OPEN for small schools or 2A.   46-[player_tooltip player_id='2291974' first='Nick' last='Reber'] Highland   A sophomore already leads the 6A East Valley team. He has strength, skill and feel. He can make plays for his teammates but also scores from all levels. His strength and handle allow him to get downhill and he has a mean pull-up. They will be a title contender in the OPEN or 6A.   47-[player_tooltip player_id='1482164' first='Desean' last='Middlebrook'] Basha   The high motored athletic forward will help [player_tooltip player_id='1323290' first='Mason' last='Magee'] and the Bears immediately. He is a top notch rebounder and brings big energy to the court from scoring around the basket, shooting it from mid and running the court. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   48-[player_tooltip player_id='1217315' first='TayVion' last='Wilson'] Sandra Day O'Connor   Another top level shooters comes with a quick trigger and range beyond the three point line. He is getting more athletic as he ages and it is easier to get to the basket now. Once he sets his feet, he will let it fly and is usually knocking them down. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   49-[player_tooltip player_id='2281701' first='Bruce' last='Branch III'] Perry   The long point forward will have breakout season this year. He did not get many minutes his freshmen season with an obvious talented team but he will be heavily in the mix this year. His shooting, passing and versatile defense will be needed. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   50-[player_tooltip player_id='1697292' first='Rylan' last='Parsley'] Sandra Day O'Connor   A long and lean bigger guard keeps growing and improving each year. He will have some big games throughout the season with deep threes, dunks above the rim on the break and rebounding. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   51-[player_tooltip player_id='1381426' first='Luke' last='Wieskamp'] Brophy Prep   A bigger wing forward brings a lot to the table with his versatile defense covering a lot of positions. He is a top notch finisher above the rim, he shoots the three and rebounds. They will be a title contender in the OPEN and 6A.   52-[player_tooltip player_id='1150844' first='Quincy' last='Everson'] Millennium   The scoring lead guard is a big part of their success. If they make it back to the OPEN Chip, he probably had a big year scoring from all levels with his sweet stroke and making plays. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   53-[player_tooltip player_id='1875720' first='Sergio' last='Gonzales'] Deer Valley   The team that won the 4A Chip last year lost a couple studs but Sergio is ready to take the reins this season. He is quick on quick, super competitive and highly skilled. They will be a title contender in 4A.   54-[player_tooltip player_id='2133624' first='Cyree' last='Jenkins'] Cholla   A two-way ball hawk will frustrate opposing guards and score. The lefty has some serious jets in the open court and can shoot it from mid to the three. His defense and passing will help them all season long. They will be a title contender in 4A.   55-[player_tooltip player_id='2280869' first='Layfe' last='Clarkson'] ALA-Queen Creek   One of the top shooters in 4A. He has a picture perfect stroke and gets it off his hands quickly. They beat some top teams this off season and he was a big reason why. They are one of the sleepers in the conference to make a big leap up. They will be a title contender in 4A.   56-[player_tooltip player_id='2131786' first='Markee' last='White Jr.'] Williams Field   The transfer from Corona Centennial will make an immediate impact. He is hyper athletic to rim run, runs the floor like a wing, can score inside and shoot it from the perimeter. He will help them on defense inside. They will be a title contender in the OPEN or 6A.   57-[player_tooltip player_id='1491233' first='Will' last='Feagles'] Notre Dame Prep   One of the top 5A teams has the high jumping scoring guard to help out [player_tooltip player_id='996176' first='Bryce' last='Quinet'] and the Saints. He flies on the break with dunks, shoots the three with range and will rebound bigger then his size suggests. They will be a title contender in 5A.   58-[player_tooltip player_id='2279895' first='Stephan' last='Miller'] Liberty   Another gifted player for the Lions is Miller. He broke out last year late in the season and looks to continue his strong play. He defends multiple positions and can score from all three levels with good size for position. They will be a title contender in the OPEN and 6A.   59-[player_tooltip player_id='1591734' first='TJ' last='Harris'] Liberty   The star studded transfer will sit the first 9 but then make his mark. He scores from all levels with a super tight handle and big time speed with the ball. His pull-ups are tough and he'll impact them in the playoffs. They will be a title contender in the OPEN and 6A.   60-[player_tooltip player_id='1150846' first='Trey' last='Chemin'] Cactus Shadows   A strong power forward will be the lead go-to guy this season. He defends the paint and rebounds in and out of his area. He scores it by facing up and will rip thru and go to work. They moved from 5A to 4A and will be a title contender in 4A.   61-[player_tooltip player_id='1369217' first='Donovan' last='Dabney'] Higley   A versatile player who can slide over and play the 1-4 for the new 6A team. He handles some lead guard action and can make players around him better. He scores getting downhill, off the glass and can shoot it from the perimeter. They will be a title contender in 6A.   62-[player_tooltip player_id='1366578' first='Davion' last='Harris'] Hamilton   A sharp shooting guard can play on or off the rock. He had a good off season and shot it well from all three levels. His shooting has improved in the last year and so has his confidence to go on his own runs. They will be a title contender in 6A.   63-[player_tooltip player_id='1150848' first='Nolan' last='Brown'] Perry   The point guard on the team is another that is going for that rare 4-PEAT. He guides the team and breaks the press. He can hit shots from the three but truly bothers opposing point guards. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   64-[player_tooltip player_id='1555181' first='Adrian' last='Higuera'] Millennium   A scoring point guard who can make plays for his teammates and defend. He will throw some up the court dimes and drive and kick. He scores with quick speed dribble drives and pull-ups from mid-range. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   65-[player_tooltip player_id='2146175' first='LJ' last='Diamond'] Desert Vista   A dynamic scoring lead guard will lead this predominately young team to a deep run. He can score it with anyone in 6A with his quick first step to the basket and finish with layups or dunks. He can shoot it plus make plays. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   66-[player_tooltip player_id='2039513' first='DJ' last='Spencer'] Desert Vista   A versatile forward plays many positions from the 3-5 for the Thunder. He can rip thru and score in traffic. He is very strong and rebounds in and out of his area. He is the toughness every top team needs. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   67-[player_tooltip player_id='1463230' first='Tyus' last='Thomas'] Desert Vista   A stud transferred into AZ by way of Liberty HS in Nevada. He is your classic pure point guard with incredible speed and the ball is on a string for him. He can score and make plays. It will be a tough trio of guards with [player_tooltip player_id='1676631' first='Nico' last='Velez'], him and [player_tooltip player_id='2146175' first='LJ' last='Diamond']. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   68-[player_tooltip player_id='1674466' first='Connor' last='Morris'] ALA Gilbert-North   Another 4A standout should have a monster season with the loss of many players to the portal and graduation. He is the only remaining starter from last years final-4 team and he will put up 20+ points nightly with his shooting, athleticism and size. They will be a title contender in 4A.   69-[player_tooltip player_id='2276223' first='Kingston' last='Montague'] Basha   A scoring lead guard can play on or off the ball. He has a very polished pull-up from mid to the three point line and he can make plays for his teammates. He will play off of [player_tooltip player_id='1323290' first='Mason' last='Magee'] and form a tough duo in the back court. They will be a title contender in the OPEN.   70-[player_tooltip player_id='2134484' first='Jamal' last='Ali'] Sahuaro   The big man is hyper athletic and comes with deep three point range. He throws it down above the rim, rebounds in his area and blocks shots. He will anchor their defense. They will be a title contender in 4A and try and get back to the Chip.   71-[player_tooltip player_id='1570934' first='Diego' last='Sarabia'] Queen Creek   The big man will lead the improving 6A team. He uses his size, skill, good hands and physicality to play inside and out. He will get a lot of attention and find the open man. They will be a title contender in 6A.   72-[player_tooltip player_id='1323292' first='Joseph' last='Lindsey Jr'] Carl Hayden   A transfer who came in from Mountain Pointe will be their leader when he becomes eligible. He is a pure point guard who makes his teammates better with his yo-yo handle and court vision. They will be a title contender in 5A.   73-[player_tooltip player_id='1938362' first='Jamison' last='Fox'] Arcadia   The big man in the middle will lead the Titans this year and should be close to being 100% healthy now. He is very skilled to face up to the three and then work inside to score plus block shots. They will be a title contender in 4A.   74-[player_tooltip player_id='1875718' first='Melvin' last='Stubbs Jr'] Catalina Foothills   The top junior in Tucson has to carry the load for the Falcons. He will play with and without the ball all season. He defends nearly every position and will score from all three levels. They will be a title contender in 5A.   75-[player_tooltip player_id='2302768' first='Hayden' last='Stebbins'] Notre Dame Prep   One of the big stock risers this year for the senior class has to step up his game some more. He has one of the better shooting strokes from the three point line in the state. He will have many big games this season. They will be a title contender in 5A.   76-[player_tooltip player_id='1676631' first='Nico' last='Velez'] Desert Vista   A scoring point guard is fast, he can make plays for his teammates and score. He has the deep three ball, a pull-up and can burst past his defenders. His on-ball defense is tough and they will be a title contender in the OPEN.   77-[player_tooltip player_id='1193887' first='Rhys' last='Walcott'] Eastmark   A scoring guard plays on or off the ball. He can get hot quickly from the perimeter from mid to the three point line. He has a high level pull-up and can carry the Firebirds many nights. They will be a title contender in 4A.   78-[player_tooltip player_id='2052370' first='Jackson' last='Harrison'] Scottsdale Christian Academy   One of the top players in 2A is a knockdown shooter and natural scorer. He has one of those shooting strokes that look good every attempt but can plays with the ball in his hands to make a play or to create for himself. One of the rare smaller school players who can and will take over a game. They will be a title contender in 2A if they don't end up one of the 8 final schools for the OPEN.   79-[player_tooltip player_id='2396185' first='Zathan' last='Ruffin'] North Valley Christian Academy   The versatile wing forward will be [player_tooltip player_id='1490908' first='Bobby' last='Rodriguez'] right hand man. He will play and defend multiple positions and score. He rebounds, blocks shots and runs the floor. He scores in transition, with jumpers and put backs. They will be a title contender for the OPEN for small schools and 2A favorites if they don't end up one of the 8 final schools.   80-[player_tooltip player_id='2326931' first='Matt' last='Quinlan'] Rancho Solano Prep   A tough guard plays on or off the ball. He lives in the paint and cleans the glass with his quick bounce and long arms using a big motor. He is very shifty and plays with different speeds smartly. He can also score from all levels. He has a pure stroke from the three point line and uses his size to rebound and score inside. They will be a playoff contender in 6A.   165-[player_tooltip player_id='1986854' first='Brandon' last='Curtis'] Campo Verde   A bunch of talent has graduated the last couple of years and it is Curtis turn to lead the East Valley team. He may be undersized but he is highly skilled and shoots it off the dribble or catch from mid to the three. They will be a playoff contender in 5A.   166-[player_tooltip player_id='1697070' first='Jack' last='Hickman'] Chaparral   A sharp shooting lead guard is one of the go-to players for the Firebirds. The lefty can shoot the three off the dribble, side step threes and cross his man over and rise up. He changes speeds and can burst by to the basket. They will be a playoff contender in 5A.   167-[player_tooltip player_id='1986806' first='Gabriel' last='Briones'] Cesar Chavez   [player_tooltip player_id='1275632' first='Lex' last='Clontz'] running mate is definitely Briones. He is skilled, tough and can score and defend. He can get downhill and shoot it easily from mid to the three. They will be a playoff contender in 6A.   168-[player_tooltip player_id='2466079' first='Jaiden' last='Thompson'] Mountain Ridge   The Mountain Lions are in a loaded region but have a chance to make the playoffs led by Thompson. He is skilled, tough, he makes plays and shots. He can shoot it from both perimeter levels and has a tighter handle. They will be a playoff contender in 6A.   169-[player_tooltip player_id='2466067' first='Adrian' last='Stubbs'] Maryvale   One of my new favorite players to watch in the AIA is Stubbs. There are not many tougher and more skilled than him and finds a way to either score with drives, pull-ups from mid to the three and thread the needle to make a play. They will be a playoff contender in 6A.   170-[player_tooltip player_id='2466738' first='Dewey' last='Henry'] West Point   A dynamic freshman scoring point guard can facilitate and score. He has a bag of jumpers from mid to the three plus will burst past his defenders. He sees the court well and will immediately help the Dragons. They will be a playoff contender in 6A.   171-[player_tooltip player_id='1327993' first='Jhordan' last='Bowls'] Westview   Bowls will lead a scrappy group possibly to the playoffs in 4A. They dropped down from 5A last year and should do fairly well led by his passing, scoring and defense on the ball. They will be a playoff contender in 4A.   172-[player_tooltip player_id='2466578' first='Jose' last='Fernandez'] Cibola   An athletic wing leads a nice sleeper team from Yuma. He can score from all three levels with threes, downhill drives and transition scores. He also defends the top player. They will be a playoff contender in 6A.   173-[player_tooltip player_id='1674465' first='Lamar' last='Anderson'] Dysart   The wildly athletic is the last line of the talented Anderson family. They lost some horses the last couple years but he has the talent to pick up some of the slack. He is twitchy athletic with some of the better dunks you will see. He will also play and defend many positions. They will be a playoff contender in 4A.   174-[player_tooltip player_id='2466071' first='Nick' last='Appenzeller'] Desert Edge   Their big man is highly skilled and he may lead them in points, rebounds and even assists. He is a rare point power forward and has some skill too from elbow and in. They will be a playoff contender in 5A.   175-[player_tooltip player_id='2620718' first='Dovantae' last='Powell'] Casa Grande   A sturdy framed scoring guard who can play both spots. He will makes plays for his teammates with good vision and score it. He shoots the ball with range and confidence and force the defense to close out to him and give space to his teammates. They will be a playoff contender in 5A.   176-[player_tooltip player_id='2279901' first='Myles' last='Swift'] North   A long, active and athletic power forward. He runs the court grabs rebounds in and out of his area and alters or blocks shots. He scores it around the basket and stays active. They will be a playoff contender in 5A.   177-[player_tooltip player_id='1633035' first='Jayden' last='Blasczyk'] Bradshaw Mountain   The big man is tall, athletic, long and active inside the paint. This is his year he should breakout with gobbling up all rebounds, blocking shots and scoring from inside and out. They will be a playoff contender in 4A.   178-[player_tooltip player_id='1832786' first='Marcus' last='Murray'] Sunrise Mountain   The team leader for the Mustangs is Murray. He is that pure point who will defend and score. He has quick feet and hands to keep his opponents in front of him and will facilitate and score it with speed dribble drives. They will be a playoff contender in 5A.   179-[player_tooltip player_id='2432565' first='Amaurie' last='Beausejor'] Desert Mountain   A quick and fast point guard who can score and defend. The sophomore guard is a rare ambidextrous player who can shoot it with either hand just as effectively. He scores with quick drives, pull-ups and threes. He will make plays and try and lead an almost new starting-5 to the playoffs. They will be a playoff contender in 5A.   180-[player_tooltip player_id='1430449' first='James' last='Steward'] Marcos de Niza   A talented power forward with size and athleticism. He is one of those players that you just don't leave off of these kind of lists since his impact will be felt in every single game that he will play in. He will have a double-double opportunity each game with dunks, spins off of his defenders and rip thrus. Then he will rebound and block shots. They will be a playoff contender in 4A.   181-[player_tooltip player_id='2466409' first='Mason' last='Brown'] Crismon   A scoring point guard should lead the Rattler many nights in scoring. He can make plays and has a good pace to his game. He scores with threes, quick drives and pull-ups. They will be a playoff contender in 4A.
