Expert Analysis
Anthony Fortuna | Prep Hoops Scout
Adan Diggs had 20 points in Vegas Elite’s narrow loss to PSA. He utilized his bounce to hammer home a couple of alley-oops while also knocking down jumpers and getting out in transition. His elite athleticism is evident, and he’s very efficient with his movements. Since this game was played, he’s also received an offer from Duke, and he’ll essentially have his pick of the litter when decision day comes.

Did what elite shot creators do—generated quality offense for himself and everyone around him, even when possessions appeared to be covered. His ability to manipulate defenders, create space, and make the right read separated him from nearly everyone on the floor. He attacked the paint with purpose before effortlessly working into his turnaround jumper, generating tremendous lift and making it one of the most difficult shots to contest. His pull-up game was on full display, and when his team needed a basket, he had an answer. The game never looked rushed in his hands, as he dictated possessions with his pace, feel, and ability to create clean scoring opportunities out of nothing.

Reclassifying from the 2028 class to the 2027 class, Diggs has made a splash landing inside the top 10 of national recruiting rankings and even landing at the top spot on Rivals. I like Diggs ability to play off the ball as his ability to knock down shots off the catch and attack closeouts. Diggs was already playing at the 17 U level and was a member of the Team USA Fiba group so he’s been well adjusted to playing against the best of the best from the class of 2027. Look for his recruitment to speed up with this reclassification with blue blood programs in hot pursuit of him.

Aidan Diggs is a supreme scorer who makes it look easy at times. His shooting stroke is incredibly smooth and his release is very consistent, allowing him to splash in multiple three-pointers a game. He also leverages his first and second step to get to his jump shot, and defenders, of course, have to protect the rim against him because he is a threat to throw down a monster dunk. Diggs also notably recently just reclassed to the class of 2027.

Smooth, controlled scorer who operated comfortably out of the mid-range this past weekend—consistently got to his spots and rose into pull-ups with minimal dribbles. His shot-making ability and knack for creating separation allow him to access his spots on demand, a skill set that translates to the next level and beyond. Showed strong activity on the glass, generating multiple second-chance opportunities with his effort on the offensive boards. Produced across all three levels, showing burst off the bounce to get downhill and finish over the top with noticeable pop and bounce.
