Defenders struggled to stay in front of his first step, especially in the open floor, where he turned drives into finishes through contact and dunks at the rim. He also changed pace effectively, braking into mid-range jumpers with strong lift. Away from the ball, his leaping ability gave teammates a target for lobs on the break and against a set defense.

He pressures ball handlers relentlessly, forcing turnovers and turning his defense into offense. A threat in transition, he puts constant pressure on the rim with aggressive attacks and finishes well on his drives. He can also knock down open 3s and pursues rebounds with energy, crashing the offensive glass to create second-chance opportunities.

Quick guard who attacks downhill in a flash, using a quick first step and sudden lateral bursts to blow by defenders and create layups at the rim. The step-back three is a go-to move for him, whether he is working out of the pick-and-roll or using a quick behind-the-back dribble to create the space and readjust into the shot. Plays with terrific pace in transition, finishing off steals and accelerating through traffic with a good handle. Disruptive on the other end as well, recording multiple steals and flashing into the paint to break up entry passes.

Explosiveness stood out immediately throughout the event. He got downhill with a quick first step, finishing over length and through contact with outstanding body control around the rim.

He also made a significant impact without the ball, running the floor hard in transition and finishing above the rim whenever the opportunity presented itself. On the defensive end, he pressured the ball, anticipated passes well, and created extra possessions by jumping passing lanes. His ability to affect the game as both an explosive athlete and productive two-way guard made him one of the more impactful backcourt performers at Section 7.

Daijon is a hyper athletic guard that punishes the rim every chance he gets. He might be one of the most athletic players I seen in the whole event. He gets to the rim anytime he wants with his elite handle and next level quickness. He will try to dunk it down the lane or finish with acrobatic finesse finishes. He likes to get to his spots in the midrange area where he rises up over defenders. He hit multiple tough shots down the stretch showing off his clutch ability. Daijon looks to lead Mesa this year as the new number 1
