About Marcus
Expert Analysis
Aaron Villa | Prep Hoops Scout
Marcus is a lengthy big with great timing and discipline on the defensive end. His biggest asset on defense is his length and ability to send shots away at the rim. Marcus is agile enough to stay with most guards on switches or hedge and get back to his man. He is a strong rebounder and has a sense for the ball coming of the basket. Marcus is a top defender in the class of 2028 and will continue to get better.

He anchored the defense with his rim protection and physical interior play. He altered shots at the rim, forced kick-outs, and served as a reliable last line of defense when Horizon attacked the paint. On the glass, he provided consistent rebounding and carved out space to secure possessions. Offensively, Marcus played his role well, finishing around the basket and positioning himself as a dependable target for ball handlers in the half court. His presence inside gave MP stability on both ends.

Marcus is a a legit big that still has loads of potential. Marcus got it done from the paint to the midrange. He is a good finisher around the rim that often creates contact to get to the line. He faces up from the elbow and will hit a nice midrange jump shot at a high clip. Defensively he is a legit force and makes it very difficult for defenders to hit shots over him. He has great timing on his blocks and knows how to stay on his feet. Marcus had 15 points, 15 rebounds, 3 blocks and 1 assist.
