Showed to be a high level defender as he matched up against some of the top guards at the Southwest Basketball Camp many who are being recruited by division 1 programs. Forced many steals and turnovers. Easily was one of the leaders in steals at the event. A true pg with a high IQ. Very shifty and knows how to change up his pace and direction to get by defenders. Made many high level passes and was also an assist leader in the event. Gill in my opinion was the top on ball defender at camp. Should be a highly sought after prospect.

He showcased a really good handle and some natural twitch with the ball in his hands, allowing him to create separation with a quick first step. Once he got downhill, he consistently collapsed the defense and showed good feel by making the right reads when help rotated. He also played through contact, absorbing bumps on the way to the rim while still finishing efficiently around the basket.

Gill is a high IQ guard on both sides of the ball. One of if not the top of the list in Southern Arizona. Very quick. Will get the steal then blow past the defense the length of the court for the score. Rebounds the ball exceptionally well. Continues to show he’s one of the top two way guards in Southern Arizona. Strong on ball defender but gets most of his steals off the ball making great reads and reacting quickly on them. Coaches going to the Section 7 Qualifiers need to make sure to check out Gill.

Gill had a great season with Mountain View where he helped lead the Mountain Lions back to the 5A state playoffs. He was selected to the 5A Sonoran Region First Team in a season where he averaged 10.8 points, 3.3 assists, 1.5 rebounds and 3.7 steals per game. His terrific awareness and speed help make him one of the top two way players in Southern Arizona. Gill has great ability and discipline to control the pace of the game. Makes high level reads and is an extremely gifted passer. Great at getting his teammates involved. A high impact player who gets it done.
