Weber had one of the most underrated jobs in the state as a freshman. He made one of the best teams in the state as a freshman; he had to make already very good players better while soaking up as much as he could. The player that we just saw a week ago is such a different player from the few times we saw him on varsity, but he made the most out of those moments. Ty is a spark off the bench, but he’s a constant. You knew what you were getting with him, he was poised and showed composure, and the game was not too sped up with him. Weber is a pass-first guard who sees the floor well, makes the right plays, and can score when needed. In the summer, we’ve gotten to see his game expand even more. He’s a name to know, and one that I feel will continue to get bigger and bigger. He’s a mainstay in these rankings, and I am expecting a huge year for him. 

Weber is a player that we got to see during the high school season, as he’s one of the few varsity players in this clas,s and he did not disappoint. It’s obvious to see that there are varsity minutes under his belt as the game slows down for him. He was one of the more impressive guards on the weekend as he led his team to 4 blowout wins and performed well in each game. He can shoot it, he plays with complete control, controls tempo and pace, and had a calm demeanor as a floor general. He opened up the floor with his ability to break a defender down and finish with floaters, and is capable of scoring barrages of his own. He’s already pretty high on my list for players who are better than expecte,d but this was a stock booking weekend for him. 

Weber’s role is small right now, but his impact is real. Weber is earning minutes on one of the state’s top teams as a freshman which speaks volumes. He plays under control, spaces the floor, and makes sound decisions when called upon. His recent breakout game showed he’s capable when opportunities arise and may signal giving him more minutes. He’s off to a strong start, and the trust he’s earning now will pay dividends later. He makes his rankings debut as a player to know moving forward.
