Jensen is known as one of those elite shooters from deep, but this weekend he showed there’s a lot more to his game. He used his size and length to make a real impact inside, finishing strong at the rim and not shying away from contact. He battled on the glass, fighting for rebounds on both ends and giving his team extra possessions. Defensively he brought presence and toughness, anchoring things on the wing. The added physicality and inside production, combined with his shooting ability, make him a much more complete player and a tough matchup as he continues to grow

With Jensen, you see flashes, but it’s about putting it all together. In January, he had some very solid games as the team went 7-1 on the month. Chaparral is the top team in the state, and they look set for now and the future. Jensen has worked for more minutes and has made the most out of those minutes. He’s been efficient, he’s improved as a rebounder who looks comfortable battling on the boards, and also the ball doesn’t get sticky with him. He’s a young player who stars in his role and it was a solid month for him where he showed that he belonged. 

6’6 forward, Jensen serves as the 6th man role on a contender. He’s jumped into games and provided a spark as a floor spacer who also roams the baseline, finishes in traffic, and has his highlight moments above the rim. He’s excelled in that spot to start the year. Unfortunately for his team due to injury, he’s now catapulted into a bigger role, and he will have to be ready for it. I expect him to be a huge riser for the second half of the season, and with his ceiling, we made the call to have him as one of the biggest risers in the rankings. Buy stock in Jensen now. This will be the worst he is, and he’s pretty good. 

Jensen brings excellent size and continues to trend upward within a deep Chaparral rotation. His development off the bench will help him prep for a solid career and this is the year it pops for him. He rebounds, spaces the floor from three, and shows touch in the mid-range with floaters inside. With how loaded the roster is, he’ll pick his spots early, but when it clicks, he becomes a real mismatch. We dropped the ball at the last rankings drop but won’t this go-round. His physical tools and skill set make him a long-term weapon to watch and one of the valuable underclassmen.

Defensively he brought toughness and competitiveness, staying locked in on his assignment, contesting shots, and making it difficult for opponents to create easy opportunities. Jensen’s ability to contribute effectively on both ends made him a versatile and reliable presence, capable of influencing the game in multiple ways
