About Maxwell

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m an aggressive two-way player who impacts the game with defense, athleticism, and smart decision-making. My 5'11.75" wingspan helps me create steals, blocks, and disrupt plays, while my high vertical and ability to attack the rim make me an all-around threat. I take pride in making winning plays, playing unselfishly, and doing what it takes to help my team succeed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a calm, steady energy and make big impacts when the moment calls for it. I am independent, analytical, and goal-driven, but I thrive in a team setting. I am open-minded, adaptable, coachable, and reliable. When trusted with responsibility, I rise to the challenge, lead through my actions to help my team win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I attend a hybrid online learning program, and was actively part of 8th grade student council. I also received academic high honors award.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I lead through confidence, communication, and trust. I encourage teammates, value every role, and help create opportunities for others to succeed. By staying vocal, unselfish, and accountable, I build team chemistry and make winning plays. My focus is always on earning trust, elevating those around me, and doing whatever it takes to help my team win.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I have faced is proving myself early on talented teams. While I have always trusted my work ethic and passion for the game, I did not always show my full abilities right away. This taught me to trust my preparation, play with confidence, and let my game speak for itself. Through grit and perseverance, I continue to earn the trust and respect of coaches and teammates.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that values both athletic and academic excellence. I want to be part of a program that invests in player development, challenges me to reach my full potential, and provides a strong academic foundation for my future. My goal is to contribute to a winning culture while continuing to grow as a student, athlete, and leader.
