Some schools have so many under the radar prospects who are just waiting for their opportunity to show that they can be meaningful pieces. From what we were able to see of James at the event he could be a name to watch. He played within the flow of the offense and created gravity with his outside shot. He was consistently knocking down shots, he came off of screens shot-ready, played with good pace and showed he could knock down the three-ball when players left him open. I also liked the competitive edge he brought throughout the event. James has an offensive skillset, and the next step is becoming even more assertive about using it. There were stretches where I wanted him hunting his offense more because the shooting and movement got him free and he already hit a couple of shots so he has to let it fly. All-in-all, solid eye-opening day for a player we didnt know much about.
