Williams is the leading scorer out of this bunch, and he’s truly one of the special scorers in the state who you can pencil in for at least 20 points, no matter the situation, opponent, or scenario. He’s who every single team has to game plan for, they try and keep the ball out o this hands, and he still finds a way. Even with so many different looks, he was still able to average 19.7 points a game and was even more efficient this year from deep, which opened up the floor a bit more. Williams is a three-level scorer who the game slows down for; he’s a gamer and one of/if not the state’s best player. Another big year for him and a huge summer ahead for this All-State player. 

Consistency can be hard to find in Colorado high school hoops, but one thing you can almost always count on is Christian Williams Christian Williams 6'2" | SG Chaparral | 2027 State #177 Nation CO going on a scoring run. When he gets rolling, there might not be another player in the state who can ignite a gym the way he does. It doesn’t seem to matter if it’s a packed league game or the Coliseum stage. Williams finished with 21 points, but the bigger thing that stood out was how locked in he looked on the defensive end. He was active, engaged, and just wouldn’t be denied on either side of the floor. That type of complete performance is starting to feel like the norm for him now. A big reason Chaparral sits as the No. 1 team in the state is that they’ve got the best duo in Colorado, and those two clearly feed off each other’s energy. Williams might not always be the loudest personality on the floor, but his game does the talking for him, and he shows up. With Chaparral being one win away from a state championship, expect him to empty the tank and do whatever it takes to keep their season rolling.

Williams got to 1,000 points earlier this year and has a good chance at getting to over 2,000 points scored when it’s all said and done. The thing that separates Christian is who he’s doing it against. Chap is playing in arguably the toughest conference in the state; they play some of the best teams in and out of conference, and he does not duck any matchup. This is not a situation where he’s just dominating bad teams, and there’s something to be said about that. I believe that Christian is the most consistent player in the entire state and one of the most prolific scorers that we’ve seen. He scores from all three levels, is a knockdown shooter that can get going against anybody, and that is while being double teamed and keyed in on and if you want a cool trivia question, you can add him to the mix as one of VERY VERY few players who has NEVER scored in single figures in his career and he’s contributed since Day 1. I told you — a consistent bucket getter. He’s one of the state’s best.  

Christian heads into his junior year and sophomore season was one for the books as he made All-State and was an All-Conference player. Chaparral heads into he season as one of the favorites, and Christian is a big part of it. He looks as locked in as ever defensively, he scores with relative ease, and the game is starting to slow down for him to where he’s manipulating defenses with not only his scoring but playmaking as well. He’s a very polished player who continues to find ways to grow, and colleges are finally starting to catch on as he’s picking up attention. I expect him to have some monster games this season and Chaparral to make an even further push behind their leading scorer.

Williams has a mature game for a prospect of his age, playing on balance and under control as an off-ball scorer. The way he moves off the ball and finds openings to score is that of a savvy vet and gives him the potential to play early next to ball dominant players at the college level and contribute. Recently offered by powerhouse in-state program Colorado State, I expect Williams to become a more household name across the west coast if he continues to have games like the 37 point explosion Vs Texas Impact in July.

Christian is a well-established name both regionally and nationally, and his stock continues to rise following a recent Division I offer from Colorado State. Physically built like a running back, Williams uses his strength and low center of gravity to relentlessly attack the paint, consistently getting downhill and finishing through contact. He shows excellent touch around the rim, using angles and body control to score over length. Off the ball, he’s equally effective — moving with purpose through screens and offensive actions, getting his feet set, and knocking down perimeter shots with smooth mechanics and consistency. In isolation situations, he utilizes a variety of hang and escape dribbles to create separation and maintain advantages, showing a polished one-on-one game. Defensively, Christian’s strength and toughness make him a dependable on-ball defender. He rebounds well for his position and uses those boards to fuel transition opportunities, where he can push the pace and make plays in the open floor. His combination of power, skill, and IQ makes him one of the more complete guards in the region.

Williams was a must watch performer this weekend, putting his smooth offensive game on full display. His shot creation was a clinic—using sharp footwork and body control to create space and knock down threes with ease and quickness. When he decided to attack the rim, he got downhill in a hurry, blowing past defenders and finishing strong. His standout performance came in a huge 37 point game where he showed his full arsenal—scoring from deep, attacking the paint, and creating opportunities for his teammates. Williams combination of skill and confidence made him one of the most exciting players of the event

He was named to 2^nd team All-State as a sophomore and his Chaparral team will head into the season as one of the state’s best as they have both him and Luke Howery Luke Howery 6'5" | CG Chaparral | 2027 State #129 Nation CO (6’5 PG) who averaged 16.8 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 5.5 APG, 1.2 SPG as a sophomore as the top backcourt duo in the state. All eyes will be on this tandem as I expect this to be the most-watched team at Colorado Live.

Averaging 19.5 points and 2 steals a game, Williams dominates the game on both ends. Christians ability to slither past defenses and create for himself is remarkable. Expect similar production and volume from the up and coming star in this contest.

Williams erupted for 22 points and 5 assists in the opener, alongside 5 threes in his performance. Adept scoring from all three levels, he brings strength and consistent shotmaking to be adept from any circumstance. Set to lead Chaparral towards a successful season, possibly to the Coliseum in due time. Still holding his own on the defensive end due to that strength advantage, he can handle the vast majority of opposing backcourt matchups with ease.
