was a big reason for that. He has good size, is a tenacious defender, and his versatility made it difficult for opposing guards to keep up with him. He’s strong and intentional, and that lets him attack when he wants. He gets to whatever spot he wants on the floor, makes the right pass when doubles come, and is constantly moving. He scores in bunches, can take a player out of the game when he’s locked in on them, and his absence will be felt for the current state champs. He steps into a spot that, if he plays, Chaparral becomes instant favorites. His impact is that strong. He had a solid summer with Mountain Stars, should get more attention this year and he makes the jump.

is a top-tier perimeter defender who doesn’t allow his matchup an inch of space. Out in transition, Coleman hustles back to recover and make outstanding plays on defense. Besides his defense, Coleman is a versatile scorer who commands attention wherever he goes on the hardwood. Expect Coleman to make the most of his junior season this fall.

Coleman was a blast to watch again this weekend. The game just hits different when the ball’s in his hands. He has that calm, in control vibe but still attacks with purpose. He was super smooth getting to the rim, showing off his handles and finishing with ease around the basket. Coleman was hitting shots from everywhere, mid range pull ups, deep threes, you name it and he was knocking them down. What really stood out was how active he was on the glass. He kept so many plays alive by skying for offensive boards, then either putting it right back up or kicking it out for a wide open look. Just an all-around strong showing from a guy who clearly knows how to impact the game in a bunch of different ways

You can really feel something special when Kris is on the court. He’s been the spark off the bench for the Raptors all season and played an integral role in getting them to the championship game. He finished with the game with 17 points, but it’s the little things he does that make him stand out. Kris is everywhere-on offense and defense, he’s always in the right spot to make a play. His speed makes him a threat in the half-court set, but he’s also dangerous attacking the basket in transition. What really stands out, though, is his defense. His footwork is on point, and he has a knack for reading the offensive player, always staying one step ahead to either make a play or keep the shooter in check.

is a dynamic guard who can easily create space for himself. Coleman earns trips to the foul stripe often and converts at a high percentage when driving full steam to the rim. Coleman’s athleticism will only continue to develop as he gets better and better, only being a sophomore.

Coleman made multiple key defensive plays for Eaglecrest, through timely help side rotations and picking apart passing lanes. A physical guard even at the varsity level, he has no trouble guarding up against bigger matchups, a phenomenal defensive playmaker for this group. Hitting various jumpers from distance and the mid-range, he maximized his opportunities with multiple key names out in that Regis Jesuit matchup. While attacking the rim, he had no trouble scoring through contact or drawing fouls, truly a physical athlete.

Coleman brings in a high motor, particularly as a backcourt prospect. Active grabbing rebounds on either end, he wastes no time getting after loose balls once the shot goes up, rarely standing stationary or ball watching. Coleman has played large amounts of time for the Mountain Stars, given his high level impact without needing the ball. An excellent perimeter defender with quick hands, his subtle, yet productive efforts were pivotal to the Mountain Stars success.
