Hulse has always been on the radar put together a breakout summer with Mountain Stars, using his size and length to create matchup problems every time he stepped on the floor. One of the biggest improvements in his game was his shot selection, showing much better decision making while also extending his range and becoming more comfortable creating his own offense. His continued development makes him a player we’d be excited to see at the Sophomore ID Camp, where he’ll have the chance to prove he can produce against the state’s top talent

Hulse is a player who brought energy and effort all weekend for Mountain Stars, and that play turns into contagious runs that open up the game for his teammates. He’s very active defensively as he has good size and length and uses it on that end of the floor. Hulse is a physical defender who presses up on opponents. He moves well and is fluid, and that allows him to step onto guards at times as well. Offensively, he fills in gaps and doesn’t specialize in one specific area, which is why he could be one of the more versatile players in this class with high two-way upside. Curious to see how he looks by summer’s end.  

Grayson Hulse Grayson Hulse 6'5" | SG Discovery Canyon | 2029 State CO displays what it looks like to stay consistent and constantly improve. Hulse has incredible body control in the paint and comes up with creative ways to put the ball in the basket. Communicating effectively on defense, Hulse ensures that switches are made and screens are hedged. The 6’4 guard can dictate the pace of the game and commands loads of defensive attention. On a renowned Discovery Canyon squad, Hulse will develop nicely.

Hulse had a summer that saw him make his mark event after event earning recognition for his consistent, high level play. He’s a smart, athletic player who understands the game and always seems to make the right read. Offensively he scores with efficiency and shows great confidence from multiple spots on the floor. Defensively he’s sound and dependable, using his quickness and awareness to stay in front of his man and disrupt plays. His energy, effort and team-first approach make him the kind of player coaches love to have on the floor. Moving forward continuing to sharpen his handle, expand his shot creation off the dribble and stay aggressive in attacking mismatches will take his game to another level. With his work ethic and mindset, Hulse’s ceiling remains sky high, and his trajectory looks nothing short of elite

Grayson Hulse Grayson Hulse 6'5" | SG Discovery Canyon | 2029 State CO is another outstanding star that Discovery Canyon will produce and develop. Hulse has a silky smooth component to his game, getting to his spot around the mid-range and deep frying his opponents on offense. Hulse times his jumps well on defense and constantly battles for rebounds on the blocks. Slithering to the rim, Hulse has a multitude of moves that he uses to convert on difficult layups over defenders.

Hulse had a standout weekend and was a dominant force inside. He controlled the paint with his size and footwork, carving out space to make life tough for defenders. Offensively, he was locked in putting himself in the right spots, whether it was cutting to the hoop, sealing off his man, or crashing the boards for second chance points. What really stood out was the shooting efficiency he displayed. Hulse didn’t force anything either, taking what the defense gave him and made the most of it. Overall Hulse brought energy, toughness, and a reliable scoring presence in the paint—exactly what his team needed throughout the tournament
