Tarpenning was a real problem for defenders all weekend thanks to his size and length. He created mismatch after mismatch just by being on the floor. Whether it was snagging rebounds in traffic or using his reach to finish over smaller defenders, he made his presence known every time down the court. Tarpenning was especially tough on the offensive glass and always in the right spot, crashing hard, and going back up strong for second chance points. Defenders couldn’t move him or out-jump him, and once he got the ball near the rim, it was pretty much guaranteed points.
