It has been over a decade since the program last competed at the highest level, and Lopez could be the point guard to restore the Bears to prominence, echoing the days when they hoisted a state championship trophy. A high-energy floor general, Lopez excels at getting downhill and converting difficult shots with ease. He is a tenacious two-way player capable of pressuring the ball the entire length of the court, and he appears ready to step into a full-time starting role and make a significant impact for this competitive 4A squad.

Lopez is a player on a mission. He’s a tenacious defender who pressures opponents and relentlessly pursues the ball down the court. Offensively, he’s a powerful player who can bulldoze through defenses, absorb contact, and finish effectively. He even uses contact to his advantage, scoring despite the physical challenges. While known for his drives to the basket, he also demonstrates good court vision and timely shooting from the perimeter. Lopez has been turning heads with his ability to take over games.

Lopez is a very quick guard who possesses a remarkable motor. His ability to play fast and handle physical contact sets him apart. With his quick first step and skill in bouncing off defenders for finishes, he is poised to become a free-throw line specialist. Lead guard at Orem is strong right now but he will only learn from one of the best and get better. He is small right now but could see him getting to 6’0.

Lopez is an underrated name at the moment but Lopez is a downhill attacking PG that can stop on a dime and score the ball. He controls the tempo and does a great job creating space.

Lopez has impressed with his downhill attacks. He is a shifty player that is challenging to defend on an island. When he is given too much space he takes advantage and can get downhill quickly. If he gets pressured he is strong enough with the ball that he could get by defenders as well. Then you add the fact that he is a killer in the midrange. He will be fun to watch.
