As the season begins the second half of the year, meaning league play begins and games begin to mean a lot more to teams. For this article, I will be taking a look into the 3A class and see which teams are sitting on top of each conference standings and which teams are potential favorites to play deep into the state tournament.

Cedarcrest HS - RPI: 2 - Record: 11-2 (6-2) - Here is a team that not many probably thought would be where they are, ranked in the top 5 for RPI. [player_tooltip player_id='1444804' first='Arion' last='Palacol'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1547314' first='Shawn' last='Etheridge'] play off each other well and are a dynamic guard duo. The only thing that may hold them back from making a deep run ia a lack of size, but they have found ways around it so far.
