Man is Bubba sure fun to watch play. I’ve had the privilege to watch him grow into one of the best pure PG’s in his class over the last couple seasons. He knows where his spots are on the court and will do whatever it takes to try to get his teammates looks first, always being a pass first player. Palacol isn’t afraid to takeover either as he can easily start toying with the defense by hitting tough shots and getting past them with ease.

Bubba and the rest of the Marysville-Getchell team got off to a rough start in the first half against Squalicum on Saturday, 12/07. When the 2nd half started, Bubba started to take over. He willed the Chargers back into the game, pushing the game to overtime and dropping 41 points to do so.

Getchell surprised people by staying close to Arlington in the season opener, almost sneaking out the win. Bubba is an electric guard who can score from all 3 levels and keep the team on his back the whole game. He provides energy on both ends, playing elite defense on opposing teams best players. He finished the game 26 points, a game high for both teams.

This is a kid who plays with complete control of his team and faith from his teammates. He’s a sniper from long-range and has been a bit of a slicer and dicer who can weave through traffic and get to the paint. Getchell made a run to the state tournament last season, only to fall to league foe Arlington who lost an overtime nailbiter to Garfield. But Getchell and Palacol have the tools to make another run this winter and he will be the guy who leads their attack.

Arion is a fun guard to watch as he loves to get involved in everything. He plays tight defense, defending at a high level against the opposing teams best player each game. Offensively, he facilitates for his teammates nicely which leads to open looks for himself. He is one of the better shooters in the entire 2025 class, sinking his threes at a high rate.

Arion has been a lights out shooter this spring with Idaho Select, knocking down his shots at a high rate. He handles the ball with both hands at a high rate, having a quick first step when trying to get downhill, past defenders. On the football field, he is a QB who has a natural feel for the game. He reads defenses well, taking what they give him. He can scramble out of pressure in the backfield to get positive yards when being rushed but can also sit in the pocket and find his receivers.

Palacol was another standout shooter from last weekend’s action in Centralia with the Pro16 circuit. He’s a more calculated shooter than most, and does a great job reading defenses, comprehending how he can exploit them, and then putting thought into action by dissecting defenses starting from the outside. He preyed on overaggressive defenders with ball fakes, then when the D slouched off he buried 3s in the space given. Palacol is just a smart player who can shoot the lights out and was all over it last weekend.

Arion had a phenomenal season this year and carried the Marysville-Getchell team farther than most people thought. He moves on the court really well, with or without the ball in his hands. He slips by defenders often with a quick dribble move and has an insanely high motor. He is going to showcase this summer he can play against real high level talent, as well.
