Expert Analysis
Ryan Morgan | Prep Hoops Scout
White has been the “do-it-all” guard for Everett this season and vastly improved in every category from his junior season. His junior year he put up 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. This year, he’s up to 23.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.6 steals thru January 11th. When you watch him it’s pretty easy to see how he can rack up all those stats. He’s a 6-foot-5 guard who can handle the rock or play off the ball, has the athleticism to play above the rim on both ends, and has markedly improved as a 3PT shooter this season. He’s simply a guy you have to gameplan for and someone who has been scoring from just about every spot on the floor this year.

How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?rn-My AAU and HS summer league went well for me. I believe I did a good job using my time wisely to get better and made great connections with my teammates. This upcoming HS season I just want to win as many games as possible and be a leader for my teammates.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel atrn-The main thing that stands out about my game is my athleticism. I believe it is what sets me up to do whatever I want to do. It helps my ability to rebound and push the ball down the court and it allows me to play good defense as well. Some other things that I believe I do well is my playmaking ability. I set others up with screens and I do a good job finding the open man. I also do a good job scoring the ball as well.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?rn-Beyond HS I am looking for a school that cares about me as a person and also cares about my future. I just want to make sure that wherever I am and whatever level I am playing at that I am in the best position possible for me to improve.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?rn-I have been in contact with a few schools recently but I am in the earlier stages of talking to them so nothing major quite yet.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?rn-The main thing I want to improve on is my three point shooting ability. I would say I’m a good enough shooter that I am comfortable taking threes and can hit them but I want to be a knock down shooter because I know it will open up more opportunities for me and my teammates.

This Everett guard has grown his game a lot. He’s very versatile on the court, stretching things out nicely for the team. His game is only going to keep getting better and he is poised for a huge year as a senior next year. Against Marysville-Getchell, he dropped 24 points, 13 rebounds and dished out 5 assists on the night. Be on the lookout for him as the season continues.

No. 7 | Not many point guards have the size and athleticism that White possesses, and though he won’t always be running the show for the Eagles, his scoring and playmaking at the top of the offense are paramount to their success. He’s a creator through and through. No matter where White lines up, he’s going to attack the defense and make plays. He’s got great length which can often be bothersome on defense, impacting passing lanes and looking to go quick in transition. White is one of the many young, talented players up north that look to make a big leap this winter.
