Robinson has been a top post player in the state all season, stepping up in big moments for his squad. He is active on the boards, relentlessly going for the ball every possession. He has good vision for a big and knows when the opposing team is collapsing for a double team, he finds his open teammates on the wing. He’s patient during games too, allowing the game to come to him.

Robinson had a monster game against O’Dea in the second round of their district playoffs, dominating the paint on both ends on their way to a big win solidifying their spot in the 3A state tournament. He’s been one of the premier post players all season, but it hits a little different in a game of this magnitude and while matching up against one of the other premier forwards in the 2024 class in

. Robinson was scoring with power, solid footwork, made his trips to the line count, and was all over the glass, but most impressive for the big man was his passing out of the post. There were several instances of guards doubling down or the middle collapsing onto Robinson down low and he reacted with on target skips for open 3s on the opposite wing or corner. It shows another element to the big man’s game as he continues to emerge in his senior year.

Robinson has been a solid post all season long and he kept it up Tuesday night against Eastside Catholic in an upset victory to give the Vikings some momentum heading into the Metro league tournament. He faced some legit size against the Crusaders frontcourt but stood up to the challenge, blocking a couple of shots inside, ripping down tough boards, and showed some smarts inside, mixing in some up-and-under’s to use the defense’s aggression against them. He’s shown a very matured progression to his post play this season and will be a key guy if Beach is to make a run at State.

The new Beach big man was a force in their first game of the year against Timberline. He continually set up right on the block where he only needed a dribble or two to get his shot off. He went to multiple moves, going either direction, and continues to show improvements in the post both technically and finishing through defenders. Aside from a few possessions, he was able to convert on the majority of his touches.
