Ndong, a forward out of the Newman School in Massachusetts, climbs to #11 in this update. The 6’9″ forward has the height to play in the paint, but profiles more as a stretch forward at the next level, after spending the summer showcasing his ability to knock down perimeter jumpers in a variety of ways. He uses screens to get open, can step into shots off the bounce, and does a nice job of spacing the floor in catch and shoot situations. He has the ability to attack in straight line drives off the bounce and has some sneaky athleticism as a finisher around the rim. As talented as he is right now, it’s his potential that stands out, as he should only continue to get better with add reps and strength. A fringe Top 100 prospect now, Ndong was one of the nation’s biggest stock risers this summer and now claims offers from multiple high majors, including Creighton and Marquette.

Ndong has been a major bright spot for the Magic this season and has been one of the spring’s biggest stock risers. The 6-foot-9 forward is under-developed physically and could certainly put on some weight, but he moves extremely well for his size and has a wonderful stroke from three-point range. He can make shots on the move, too, and he can attack closeouts once the defense starts overplaying him. He’s the Magic’s 5th leading scorer but is doing it efficiently with 49% shooting and 45% from three. Ndong is ready for a major break out with Newman this coming season.

Ndong played on Newman’s second team this season, so a lot of people probably don’t know who he is. But the 6-foot-9 wing is built like a future D1 prospect and has a super intriguing set of skills. He can make shots from the perimeter, and he looks quite comfortable and coordinated on drives to the rim despite his size and length. Defensively, his physical attributes allow him to guard multiple positions and impact shots at the rim. As Ndong continues to get stronger, he should have tons of scholarship schools on him.
