31 Intriguing Talents: The Stage

The <a href="https://x.com/PHCircuit" id="https://x.com/PHCircuit">Prep Hoops Circuit</a> is in full swing, and the spotlight shifts to one of the premier events of the spring—The Stage. Taking place April 17–19 at the Pacers Athletic Center and The Farmers Bank Fieldhouse, this marquee stop brings together high-level competition in two first-class venues built for big-time hoops.   With talent pouring in from multiple states and across a variety of age groups, this event is loaded with players who bring unique skill sets and upside. <a href="https://x.com/DaksHoops" id="https://x.com/DaksHoops">@DaksHoops</a> will be on hand to take it all in—tracking matchups, evaluating performances, and identifying the names that continue to stand out.   In this preview, we highlight Intriguing Talent: The Stage—a group of prospects who bring a mix of potential, production, and buzz. Whether they're established contributors or emerging names starting to gain traction, these players are worth a closer look. West is a guard with exciting versatility on both ends. He scores the rock from all levels and is very good at creating for teammates. Due to his size and capability, Aidan disrupts passing lanes and contests shots. He impacts the game in many ways while making winning plays. West also does the little things that don't show up in the stat column. As Aidan continues to develop physically and his tools sharpen, he has the potential to become a high-level prospect in the state of Kentucky.     First of all, you have to be intrigued by his length. Alex scores with a soft touch around the rim. He is dominant on the block. Countryman changes the game with his 7-foot wingspan. Alex is a Double-Double factory!     Smith is an extremely physical and tough player on both sides of the ball. He defends 94 feet; Smith makes life difficult for the opposing guards. At the same time, Amari can drop 30 points on the offensive end. He changes the game on both ends.     A big guard who is a phenomenal passer, especially in transition after securing a rebound. He sees the floor at a high level with great instincts and a feel for where the ball needs to go. Callan is also a strong finisher with a quick first step that allows him to attack and create advantages.     This young and talented forward presents matchup problems across the board. He is too quick for traditional BIGs and too tall for guards to handle. Ben finishes well around the rim and scores from all three levels. He is a player to watch because of his energy, versatility, and exciting potential.     Watch out for this long-playmaking wing. This is Poynter's first tourney of the spring and he is the top athlete on his [program_tooltip program_id='2135129' first='Griffin' last='Elite'] squad. Chi is a true leaper; he makes plays off the dribble and finishes above the rim. His presence changes the dynamic of the game and gives the team a great boost. Poynter is also a ferocious rebounder and an energetic defender.     Clark presents all sorts of matchup problems. He is too quick for traditional BIGs and is too tall for guards to handle. He finishes well around the basket. Clark is a real 3level scorer. He is a player to watch because of his high energy, versatility, and exciting potential.     He runs with WeDifferent 812. Barnes had a big weekend at the Chi-Town Tip-Off; expect him to carry that momentum into The Stage. Dontae showcased his athleticism and ability to put up 20+ points in games. Dontae is a playmaker in transition and thrives in a fast-paced tempo. Expect Barnes to show out as a dynamic slasher and bouncy finisher. Expect a monster weekend at The Stage.     He runs with WeDifferent 812. Chinn averaged 23 ppg at an event last weekend. The best part of his game is his scoring ability and high-level shooting. Alijah is consistent and has a great middy pull-up. Chinn is a player to watch because he always brings his best game to the court. Expect him to stand out all weekend long at The Stage.     He hoops with WeDifferent 812. Eastwood has to be in the conversation as one of the top defenders in Indiana. He completely cuts off the opposing players' water. Elijah is a lockdown defender. He's a versatile defender—Eastwood consistently takes on the challenge of guarding the opponent's top player, regardless of position. He is a fierce competitor all while leading the team at the PG position. Look for Eastwood to be a difference maker with his defense.     [program_tooltip program_id='2135129' first='Griffin' last='Elite'] is loaded with talent and Gilvin is a top-notch baller filled with intrigue. Garrison does a little bit of everything to help his team be successful. He is versatile and skilled. Gilvin plays great off two feet and he hoops with a high IQ. Expect a great week at The Stage.     He is not afraid of the dirty work and Grant does it extremely well. He gets downhill and showcases great moves around the hoop. He has one of the top basketball IQ's on the team. Weekly can also spread the floor and hit triples.     He runs with WeDifferent 812 and will be an offensive weapon to watch. This kid is a smooth shooter with a lethal stroke. Cooper is a long 6'1" and is an extra-quick athlete. He will stand out this weekend with his sharpshooting, and Mr. Cooper is expected to have a great weekend.     This talented PG is now up to 5'9". Jamir is a 3-level scorer with great quickness and explosiveness to break down defenders. Kirtley has great speed and pace with the ball. He puts daunting pressure on the defense. Jamir has a high motor and intensity, which separates him on the defensive side of the ball. He does good work creating opportunities for his teammates. Kirtley's combo of speed, toughness, playmaking, and scoring ability makes him a player to watch.     Major is a quick left-handed guard with strong scoring instincts. He also shoots it very well. Jammir is extremely deceptive with the rock while getting downhill to create shots for himself and teammates.     Roberts is a premier PG talent in Kentucky. Last weekend, he averaged a solid 20 ppg. Kamari is a gifted athlete with shiftiness and skill that is sure to catch your eye. He does great things with the rock and shoots it at a high level. Take a look at the #10 ranked prospect in the KY 2027 class.     Battles is ultra athletic and plays above the rim impressively. Keagan is an all-around baller who scores and defends at a high level. He will make noise this weekend as an elite scorer     He hoops with Mac Elite. Pardue is an elite-level shooter with great size (6'3" 180 lbs) for a '29. He certainly passes the eye test. Lincoln is a top-tier passer. Great things seem to happen when he has the rock.     He runs with Hoop Smart. Marcus is a reliable spot-up shooter who also uses his strength to effectively attack downhill. He consistently delivers in key moments while making timely and clutch plays. Phillips is a player to watch due to his composure and consistent scoring/shooting impact.     He runs with WeDifferent 812. The best part of Ragland's game is his SHOOTING. This kid is a microwave! When he gets going, Michael has the ability to hit 5 or more in a row and take over the game.     We are not 100% that Montez will make the event, but if he does, Gay has to be at the top of the list for players to watch. He currently has 6 Division 1 offers with many more programs interested. Montez scores inside/out and has a college-ready body. If this prospect is on the court, all eyes should be on the #2 ranked prospect in Kentucky.     He changes the game with his playmaking in the run & gun game. Bruns is an elite offensive player. Noah has the ability to score 25+ points in any given game. He is very athletic and is serious hooper to watch this weekend at The Stage.     Kronberg has deep and limitless shooting range. He fills it up from deep! Noah does a great job of stretching the defense and opening up the floor for slashers. He has an easy, quick, and confident shooting release. Whenever Kronberg steps on the floor, he is a scoring threat.     He is a true "Swiss Army Knife" with a vast skill set that impacts the game in a variety of ways. Akot stretches the floor with his 3-point shooting, scores with his back to the basket, and he can put the ball on the floor. On defense, he shows his versatility by guarding multiple positions and he competes well on the glass. Otis projects well at the wing/3 position at the next level.     Helped his high school squad to the State Semifinals. He might be young but Parker is a floor general with a low turnover rate. Everyone loves a lead guard who values the basketball. Quinten is a speedy and quick guard. Averaging 14 ppg, 7 apg, .8 tpg.     Robinson is an intriguing combo-guard who scores the ball with a high efficiency rate. Melo is a shooter who can cash 4-5 triples per game; he is averaging 18 ppg. Expect splashy performances from Robinson.     Webb is a talented PG from Sylvania Southview. In club hoops, he runs with Hoop Smart 17U. He will be playing up an age division but will still be a difference maker. Look for Robert to change the game with his scoring, slashing, passing, and tough on-ball defense.     He is an intriguing ball player with his long wingspan and athletic abilities. Bridgwaters changes the game with his slashing. He attacks the basket with finesse and finishes nicely with either hand. Royce also has a smooth jump shot from the perimeter. He is a great glue guy, averaging 12 ppg, 5 rpg, and 2 spg.     He runs with Midwest Basketball Club. Dari is a leader, creator, and floor general. Sammy lives, breathes, and sleeps basketball. Hoops is all he knows. This kid works extremely had and is selfless. He does not shoot as much as he could/should, Sammy loves to get his teammates involved. Dari is the quarterback and director for his team.     He will be running with Hoop Smart this weekend. This long baller out of Sylvania Southview is full of intrigue. Gordon changes the game with his post scoring and rim-protection. Keep an eye out for his impressive post-moves and efficient finishing. Will he perform as one of the top BIGs at the event?     Walbrun is a pure ATHLETE but he lets the game come to him. Ty is the most consistent shooter on his squad. In school ball, Ty averaged around 15-16 ppg on only 7 shots. He does not over shoot, is smart/disciplined, and is super responsive to coaching.
