<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the most significant days on the recruiting calendar is June 15th, as each year it signifies the date when college coaches can first have direct contact with rising juniors, in this case, the members of the <em>Class of 2027</em>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This year, it's come on the heels of some really high level, impressive performances for prospects throughout the region.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Below, we'll take a look at some updated <em>News &amp; Notes</em> from the recruiting trail.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While the rising juniors will garner most of the attention here, two rising seniors have made waves as of late, deserving their own notice.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1532640' first='Quinn' last='Costello']</em></strong>, a forward out of the <em>Newman School</em>, continues to be one of the hottest names in recruiting circles throughout the country. On the heels of an incredibly efficient performance at the <em>NBPA Top 100 Camp</em>, he practically broke the internet with all the offers he had rolling in. Since June 12th, Costello has picked up offers from <strong><em>Purdue</em></strong>, <strong><em>Michigan</em></strong>, <strong><em>Texas</em></strong>, <em><strong>Boston College</strong></em>, <strong><em>Providence</em></strong>, <strong><em>Michigan State</em></strong>, <strong><em>Syracuse</em></strong>, <em><strong>Texas A&amp;M</strong></em>, <strong><em>Maryland</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Northwestern</em></strong>!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Speaking of offers, <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2638999' first='Lucas' last='Morillo']</em></strong> continues to pile them up too. Another prospect out of the <em>Newman School</em>, Morillo has added three in three days, from the likes of <strong><em>East Carolina</em></strong>, <strong><em>Virginia</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Virginia Tech</em></strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Beyond that, <em>BABC's</em> dynamic duo of <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2341363' first='Alex' last='Egbuonu']</strong></em> and <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2325746' first='Amir' last='Jenkins']</em></strong> continue to build on their succesful springs. Egbuonu, a power wing out of <em>Lawrence Academy</em>, picked up recent high major offers from <strong><em>Wake Forest</em></strong> and <strong><em>Georgetown</em></strong>. Jenkins, a dynamic lead guard out of <em>Worcester Academy</em>, had added recent offers from <strong><em>West Virginia</em></strong>, <strong><em>Georgia</em></strong>, and <strong><em>East Carolina</em></strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the <em>Class of 2027</em>, the phones were ringing off the hook on the 15th and again today, as evidenced by the prospects below.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Cushing Academy's</em> <strong><em>Elliot Erickson</em></strong>, a physical wing, heard from <strong><em>Brown</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, and <strong><em>NJIT</em></strong>. <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2470818' first='Anthony' last='Vick']</em></strong>, a high scoring guard that also plays at <em>Cushing Academy</em>, heard from <strong><em>Hofstra</em></strong>, <strong><em>Iona</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Quinnipiac</em></strong>. The phones were also busy for <em>Cushing's</em> big man duo of <strong><em>Coley Mark</em></strong> and <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2470882' first='Theo' last='Edema']</em></strong>. Mark, a long and versatile 7-footer, heard from over half of the <em>Ivy League</em> - <strong><em>Brown</em></strong>, <strong><em>Cornell</em></strong>, <strong><em>Dartmouth</em></strong>, <strong><em>Harvard</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Princeton</em></strong> - as well as from <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, <strong><em>Northeastern</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Rice</em></strong>. Edema, one of the top big men in the country, heard from <strong><em>Auburn</em></strong>, <strong><em>Illinois</em></strong>, <strong><em>Kansas</em></strong>, <strong><em>Oklahoma State</em></strong>, <strong><em>Syracuse</em></strong>, <strong><em>Tennessee</em></strong>, <strong><em>Virginia</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Virginia Tech</em></strong> - all of which have offered in recent weeks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At <em>Williston Northampton</em>, both <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2470950' first='Kyle' last='Seltzer']</em></strong> and <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2470903' first='Max' last='Kellogg']</em></strong> had their phones ringing on the first night of contact. Seltzer, a skilled big man, heard from <strong><em>Cornell</em></strong>, <strong><em>Creighton</em></strong>, <strong><em>Hofstra</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, <strong><em>Miami (OH)</em></strong>, <strong><em>Northwestern</em></strong>, <strong><em>Quinnipiac</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Rice</em></strong>. Kellogg, a heady combo guard, heard from <strong><em>Brown</em></strong>, <strong><em>Murray State</em></strong>, and <strong><em>UMass</em></strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The phones were also busy at <em>Brewster Academy</em>, where <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2470857' first='Reece' last='Ayala']</em></strong>, <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2470913' first='Tayden' last='Langdon']</em></strong>, and <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2470964' first='Antonio' last='Pemberton']</em></strong> garnered wide ranging interest. Ayala, a big and athletic lead guard, heard from <strong><em>Boston College</em></strong>, <strong><em>Cornell</em></strong>, <strong><em>Dartmouth</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Rice</em></strong>. Langdon, a big scoring guard, received his first four offers, coming from <strong><em>Jacksonville</em></strong>, <strong><em>Loyola Marymount</em></strong>, <strong><em>St. Bonaventure</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Toledo</em></strong>. While Pemberton, one of the top combo guards in the country, was a major winner at the beginning of the contact period as he received offers from <strong><em>Maryland</em></strong>, <strong><em>Oklahoma State</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Penn State</em></strong>, while also hearing from <strong><em>Auburn</em></strong>, <strong><em>Boston College</em></strong>, <strong><em>Dartmouth</em></strong>, <strong><em>Illinois</em></strong>, <strong><em>Pittsburgh</em></strong>, <strong><em>UMBC</em></strong>, <strong><em>Utah</em></strong>, and <strong><em>VCU</em></strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At <em>Brimmer &amp; May</em>, both <strong><em>Ladanion Payne</em></strong> and <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2568348' first='Tyson' last='Robinson']</em></strong> had their phones ringing. Payne, a dynamic lead guard, heard from <strong><em>Boston College</em></strong>, <strong><em>Furman</em></strong>, <strong><em>Liberty</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, <strong><em>Radford</em></strong>, <strong><em>Rice</em></strong>, and <em><strong>Rutgers</strong></em>. Robinson, an athletic hybrid forward, heard from <strong><em>Cornell</em></strong> and <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2470840' first='Josiah' last='Adamson']</em></strong> and <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2341319' first='Nicolas' last='Mitrovic']</em></strong>, rising juniors at <em>CATS Academy</em>, were popular with high major programs. Adamson, an athletic guard that continues to expand his skill set, heard from <strong><em>Boston College</em></strong>, <strong><em>Old Dominion</em></strong>, <strong><em>Syracuse</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Wake Forest</em></strong>. Mitrovic, a floor spacing 7-footer, heard from <strong><em>Illinois</em></strong>, <strong><em>Kansas</em></strong>, <strong><em>Northwestern</em></strong>, <strong><em>Providence</em></strong>, <strong><em>Syracuse</em></strong>, <strong><em>Texas</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Virginia</em></strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At <em>St. Thomas More</em>, the rising juniors were busy on the phones. <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2341434' first='DJ' last='Hawkins']</em></strong>, a jumbo scoring guard, received an offer from <strong><em>Sacred Heart</em></strong>, while also hearing from <strong><em>Boston College</em></strong>, <strong><em>Brown</em></strong>, <strong><em>Illinois</em></strong>, <strong><em>Louisville</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, <strong><em>Notre Dame</em></strong>, <strong><em>Pittsburgh</em></strong>, <strong><em>Providence</em></strong>, <strong><em>Quinnipiac</em></strong>, <strong><em>Syracuse</em></strong>, <strong><em>UC San Diego</em></strong>, and <strong><em>VCU</em></strong>. <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2470973' first='Greyson' last='Pierce']</em></strong>, a hybrid forward with two-way versatility, heard from <strong><em>Brown</em></strong>, <strong><em>Buffalo</em></strong>, <strong><em>Cornell</em></strong>, <strong><em>Longwood</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, <strong><em>Notre Dame</em></strong>, <strong><em>Old Dominion</em></strong>, <strong><em>Pittsburgh</em></strong>, <strong><em>Qunnipiac</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Rice</em></strong>. While <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2472274' first='Bentley' last='Shelton']</em></strong>, a tough scoring guard, heard from <strong><em>Iona</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Syracuse</em></strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Elsewhere, throughout the region, numerous prospects in the <em>Class of 2027</em> caught the attention of college coaches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In Connecticut, <em>Notre Dame Prep's</em> <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2568504' first='Josh' last='Charlot']</em></strong>, a dynamic ball-handler in the backcourt, heard from <strong><em>Cornell</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Northern Illinois</em></strong>. <em>East Catholic's</em> <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2568519' first='Michael' last='Bradley']</em></strong>, a versatile hybrid forward, heard from <strong><em>Iona</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, <strong><em>Oklahoma State</em></strong>, <strong><em>Quinnipiac</em></strong>, <strong><em>Rutgers</em></strong>, <strong><em>Utah</em></strong>, and <strong><em>VCU</em></strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the NEPSAC, <em>Vermont Academy's</em> <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2568339' first='Kamari' last='Whyte']</em></strong>, a two-way off guard, heard from <strong><em>Brown</em></strong>, <strong><em>Cornell</em></strong>, <strong><em>Marquette</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, <strong><em>Rice</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Utah</em></strong>. <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2470895' first='Jakare' last='Innocent']</em></strong>, an athletic combo guard at the <em>Tilton School</em>, heard from <em><strong>Merrimack</strong></em> and <strong><em>Quinnipiac</em></strong>. At <em>Thayer Academy</em>, <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2470928' first='Michael' last='McNamara']</em></strong>, a skilled hybrid forward, received an offer from <strong><em>Albany</em></strong>, while also hearing from <strong><em>Brown</em></strong>, <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>, and <strong><em>UMass</em></strong>. <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2878537' first='Davon' last='Maloney']</em></strong>, a scoring wing from the <em>Newman School</em>, received offers from <strong><em>Drexel</em></strong> and <strong><em>Penn State</em></strong>. And, <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2878956' first='Logan' last='Rodriguez']</em></strong>, a versatile wing out of the <em>Berkshire School</em>, heard from <strong><em>Albany</em></strong>, <strong><em>Cornell</em></strong>, <strong><em>Drexel</em></strong>, <strong><em>Iona</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Merrimack</em></strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
