Mitrovic, a forward out of CATS Academy, made his presence felt over the weekend with his activity level and increased physicality. He continues to display some touch out to the perimeter as a shooter, but impressed this weekend with his desire to score around the rim and his willingness to play through contact. His combination of height and length stands out any time he takes the floor and allows him to operate as a high level rim protector on the defensive end of the floor.

Mitrovic looks to have really improved his game since the AAU season. He finally realized that he can simply raise the ball above his shoulders and get easy shots off if he wants; he did this on multiple occasions and was too big and long for opposing forwards to contest. His touch and feel in the paint makes this a really difficult shot to stop. Defensively, the near 7-footer brings great rim protection and is very disciplined on that end. Mitrovic should be garnering looks from tons of D1 schools and is going to be on a good squad to showcase his two-way skills.

Mitrovic is the tallest player on CATS but offers a really intriguing skill set. He has a beautiful looking shot from three, which makes him a potent pick and pop threat on the perimeter. However, he also does a good job making decisions in the short roll and is a solid finisher at the hoop with both hands. Some added strength and weight would do wonders for Mitrovic, who should be on the radar of D1 coaches across the country. He showed a different level of toughness and fight than I’ve seen in the past, too.

Mitrovic, a talented big man, checks into the rankings for the first time at #6 after transferring into the region to attend CATS Academy. Mitrovic, at 7’0″, impresses with his offensive versatility, fluidity of movement, and floor spacing potential. He’s long and lean, so he’ll obviously need to add strength to his frame, but he doesn’t back down physically in the paint. He has nice mechanics on his jumper in catch and shoot situations, runs the floor well in transition, and is a capable finisher around the rim. Defensively, he uses his length to his advantage on the perimeter and does a nice job of protecting the rim. He’s a high major prospect that conceivably still has his best basketball well ahead of him.

Mitrovic, a member of the 17U EYBL squad, is a heady, mobile big out of the Hoosac School in New York. At 7’0″, he has great size and has shown to be a quality mover with good agility. He can step out onto the perimeter and make shots, operates as a roller or pop guy in screens, and can even put the ball on the floor as a straight line driver. He’s got a frame that should allow him to add some weight, and subsequently, add strength, both of which would allow him to become an even better defender than he already is. He uses his length to keep drivers out of the paint and is a high level shot blocker, both on the ball and from the help, in the paint. To top that all off, he just announced that he’ll be heading to CATS Academy in the fall, a program that has produced plenty of high major talent lately.

Mitrovic is only a sophomore but mans the paint for Expressions 17u in the EYBL. The 7-foot power forward is averaging 8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, but his potential is through the roof. He can step out on the perimeter and shoot it well from three (he’s shooting 35% on a decent number of attempts), and I only see his efficiency improving given how nice and compact his shot looks. He can also attack closeouts and finish pretty athletically around the rim, even at his size. Defensively, Mitrovic is averaging 1.6 blocks per game and has good positioning and timing on that end. He should be a key player for Hoosac next year and I imagine he’ll be getting high D1 looks soon.

Mitrovich is a mobile big with nice length and rim protecting ability. He has a high celing, due to his understanding of the game and abiluty to finish consistently on the inside. He is imoactful on both ends and can make big time plays from the post. He will be a player D1 coaches continue to keep an eye on as his career progresses.

is a projectable forward prospect with tons of potential. Long and lanky, he has real skills as a shot blocker in the paint. Mitrovic moves his feet stupendously for his size and his long arms affect shots. His long arms and defensive instincts also force opposing teams to think twice and possessions have to be reset. Mitrovic’s main ability on the offensive end is as the roll man. He can jump over defenders and throw it down on the rim. Mitrovic can also stretch the floor from deep with a solid-looking jumper. In transition, he is a smooth operator with the ball and looks comfortable taking it coast to coast. While still a little raw, Mitrovic’s upside is very scary and will be a priority target for college programs.
