Terry, a guard out of the CATS Academy in Massachusetts, checks in at #1 among the shooting guards and #12 overall. A 6’5″ guard, Terry shook off some injury issues this winter and reminded everyone why he’s been so highly regarded, for so long, in New England. He’s a big guard that’s capable of playing on or off the ball, does a nice job of scoring it at all three levels, and shows good vision as a passer. In general, he has a really well-rounded offensive game and the ability to operate as a late clock shot maker. Defensively, his size and length allow him to guard any of the three perimeter positions, and to do so at a high level. He will continue his academic and athletic careers at Loyola University Chicago in the fall.

CATS Academy came out firing to open up the final game of the night as Terry was making shots off the catch early on in the game. I like his positional size and sturdy frame, having the body to play immediately at the college level. I also was impressed by the offensive flow that CATS Academy played with in the half-court, moving the ball from side to side and getting a handful of guys involved. I’d expect this team to continue to gel as the season progresses.

Terry was pretty easily the best player on the court in last week’s game. The 6-foot-5 guard dominated on both ends and showcased an incredibly well-rounded skillset. Offensively, he scored from all three levels and was impossible to stop; once you sell out to stop his three-point shooting, he starts getting into the lane at will and making floaters and jumpers. He also has good passing vision and can even score in the post on smaller players. Defensively, the senior has amazing hands and slides his feet quite well to stay in front of opposing guards. Terry will be an awesome piece for Loyola Chicago next season.

Terry is a household name in New England and should be one of the top perimeter scorers in the region this winter. The CATS Academy guard has the ability to score out of isolation situations with the ball in his hands, but excels as a movement shooter that spaces the floor. His release is quick and his mechanics are clean, and when combined with his positional size, allows him to get his shot off at almost any time. His athleticism is an asset as a finisher around the rim and because he can score at all three levels, his shooting has to be respected that much more.

Terry is a shot-maker with nice positional size. He uses his big frame to bully defenders to different spots he wants to get to on the floor. He is a threat from behind the arc. Terry does a nice job breaking down the game in the half-court and can play inside and out. Terry played well in the first NEPSAC showcase at Babson. Terry has a ton of schools tracking him at the mid major level.

Terry got hurt towards the end of this high school season, but he looks to have continued right where he left off with Expressions Elite. He’s leading the team in points per game (13.3) and is, as usual, showing off a well-rounded scoring game; he can shake and bake to get to the hoop, but he can also step back for threes and get to his pull ups in the midrange. I’ve been super impressed with his defensive effort and ability to slide with quick offensive players, which will be an x-factor in his recruitment moving forward. Terry should be a top scorer for CATS Academy next season.

A quintessential fit for the modern positionless game, Terry shines with his ability to impact a game across all facets based on what his team needs. Truly a jack of all trades, his toughness, IQ, and well-rounded skillset make for a highly-valuable lynchpin on the wing. Terry has thrived at times throughout the year as a floor-spacer, as a secondary ballhandler, as a shutdown defender, and as a go-to scorer. His maturity and leadership combined with such versatility provide a clear recipe for a future winner at the mid or high major level.

Great bounce leading to rebounds and 50/50 balls. Love his footwork getting his feet set for shots quickly. He rises up with ease, smooth finisher and quick release. He was red hot from deep going 6-8. Endurance level off the charts nearly playing the whole game.

Terry is an absolute flamethrower, and he can shoot it off both the catch and the dribble. His range expands far out past the three-point line and he has a very quick release to pair with it, which allows him to get shots off against bigger and longer defenders — he was absolutely feeling it on Saturday. Terry can also create for himself and uses his touch to finish around the rim. Defensively, he slides his feet well and has active hands. I love the edge he plays with, and it’ll serve him quite well at the next level, where he already has a handful of mid to high major offers.
