It feels like Jenkins gets craftier and more forceful with his handle every time I watch him. The Worcester Academy stud has the ball on a string and competed harder than almost anyone that I saw at Babson, which is surprising given he’s the biggest name out there. He’s not too cool for school at all — he plays every game like it’s his last and attacks the cup relentlessly on offense. His footwork and finishing in the lane is tremendous, and he’s a complete animal on the defensive end, especially against guards his size. High major prospect who should have a massive year with Worcester Academy.

was an electric playmaker on the court. Displaying a tight and quick handle, he created easy separation on his drives to the rim and on his three point shots. He also made some swift assists on the move in the half court setting.

A 6’2″ lead guard for Worcester Academy, Jenkins plays the game with unbridled passion. And, it doesn’t matter if there are 10 people in the gym or 10,000, D3 coaches or high majors, he approaches each and every game the same exact way. In a gym filled with scholarship level talent, his competitive fire and will to win stood out. On top of that, he continues to improve as a decision maker and tough shot maker that can get to the rim at will off the bounce. While he still has a lean frame, he’s looking stronger and more athletic than he was this winter, and is relentless in his efforts to get into the paint off the bounce. Defensively, he locks up at the point of attack and makes life miserable for opposing ball-handlers. A national stock riser this spring, he’s a lock to play at the high major level in a few years.

Leading the charge for a cohesive, high-powered BABC lineup with eyes on a 3SSB title, Jenkins set the tone for a dominant championship run with his intensity and unselfishness on either end of the floor. He showed his leadership by never allowing his team to coast despite some lopsided scores, strapping up defensively and applying consistent pressure on the rim without taking his foot off the gas. Jenkins was frequently in search of open teammates, showcasing his creativity and vision as a passer once he collapses the defense with his paint pressure. The context never required him to shoot from the perimeter, but if Jenkins shows he can add that element consistently along with everything else he brings to the table, a national breakout could be on the way soon once he hits the 3SSB circuit.

Jenkins was his usual self on Saturday. He got into the paint at ease and finished amongst the trees, but he also got to his midrange and hit some three-pointers as well. He’s so comfortable with the ball in his hands and I’m not sure there’s anyone I would be more confident handling the ball under pressure in the region than him — so strong and smart with it. He also defends at such a high level and is a terror to dribble against. Pleasure to watch, especially when he got a fire lit under him by the opposing from ATR. You don’t want to get him fired up.

Jenkins continues to impress he showed he could make plays for himself and others frequently throughout his play. He can find his teammates for scoring chances of their own. He found the bucket effortlessly during and has a good blend of dribble moves he uses when he is navigating downhill. He is able to fit the ball into tight gaps the defense has in it. What makes Amir so versatile is that when he is on the attack he is always a scoring or a facilitating threat. I would like to see Jenkins become more of a threat from behind the arc. He will have many suitors at the high major and mid plus level tracking his every movement this spring and summer.

Jenkins had a performance for the ages in maybe the biggest game of his basketball career thus far. The junior guard was able to get into the lane at will – even against incredibly difficult defense from

. He has superb hang time and craft in the lane and can finish better than virtually any guard in the region. Defensively, Jenkins is an excellent on-ball defender and has great hands. He was the best player on the floor in this game, and that’s with multiple other high-major players. He is SO legit.

for a lot of the game and slid his feet super well without fouling. He also used his active hands for some steals and leak outs. He got his long range shot to go a few times and also found success driving into the lane and slowing his steps to finish around the bigs. Towards the end of the game, Jenkins was confident handling the ball against pressure and knocked down free throws when they mattered. He’ll probably be defended by

Jenkins couldn’t get his shot falling in the first half, but everything else was working well for him. He’s so shifty with the rock and has some amazing deceleration/slow-step moves in the paint that completely throw off shot blockers; he also has an excellent left hand, so his finishing options at the rim are endless. In the final minutes of the second half, Jenkins hit a massive three and two clutch free throws to help put away the game, which is so impressive considering how he was shooting it from deep the rest of the game. Can’t wait to watch him battle with
