Expert Analysis
Robbie Hodin | Prep Hoops Scout
McFadden didn’t have too significant of a role on Worcester Academy last season but will probably play a lot more this year. The 6-foot-2 guard is super fast, quick, and strong, which allows him to defend point guards and also smaller wings — he competes at a high level consistently and will spend a lot of games covering the opponent’s best player. Against Vermont Academy, McFadden hit two massive threes in the final few possessions to give his squad the win. Look for a big uptick in his minutes and counting stats this season.

McFadden, a guard out of Worcester Academy, checks into the rankings at #103, climbing 21 spots since our last update. A cofident ball-handler, decision maker, and scorer, he continues to show off a well-rounded offensive game. He’s got some wiggle off the bounce, does a nice job of turning the corner out of ball screens, and can quickly elevate into his jumper in the mid-range. Defensively, he can guard in space and does a nice job of forcing opposing ball-handlers into mistakes. Playing with The House We Built, he’s a prospect that programs from all levels of college hoops will be following this summer.

McFadden does a good job impacting the game with his play. He is a threat to knock down an open shot from behind the arc and needs that need game planed for if he is on the floor. He can also get to spots off the bounce and either kick out to teammates or score for himself. He has great change of gears he can shows when going downhill. McFadden plays with an assertive motor.
