A player who has been committed to the Division I level for a while, Alexander’s toughness and mentality should take him further than his pure natural talent would suggest. If you enjoy watching guards who love playing defense, diving on the floor and rebounding at a much higher rate than their height would suggest, Alexander is the guard for you. I’ll be curious to see how well he does offensively early on in his career, but the intangibles will give him chance after chance to crack a rotation.

Spire took quick care of business in a battle between a team at the top and a team at the bottom of the EPL standings. Alexander was productive with quick passing decisions against the zone defense, and I was also impressed with how he used his left hand as a driver, passer and finisher. A guard who wants to defend the full length of the court, Alexander is a hard hat type worker on the hardwood. Another impressive win for Spire Post Grad who have a handful of Division I commits up and down their roster.

The Citadel pledge always plays a gritty style of basketball whenever he steps onto the floor. He shows flashes of being a bunch scorer and provides more depth to an already explosive offensive arsenal. He chipped in 12 points. Alexander has always been a stalwart on the defensive end and has no issue guarding whomever. He has transitioned his body well over the last few years which should help make his transition to college smother. I think one of the biggest areas of improvement in Alexander’s game is his ability to shoot from behind the arc, he can be rather reluctant from there at times. I challenge him to get into improve from there because by being a threat on the perimeter can make him more valuable at the college level.

Recruitments are just starting to take shape for a lot of 2026 prospects and Alexander is no exception. Picking up an offer from Roberts Wesleyan, a Division II program in Rochester, NY this week. Alexander brings a toughness on both ends of the court that’s hard to find. Playing with numerous players with Division I offers on Spire’s post grad team, Alexander will get the opportunity to practice with talented players and go against top post grad competition all season to continue to increase his exposure and recruitment.

Spire’s Nike Scholastic program has received a ton of attention this summer but their post grad group coached by Jay Slone also has numerous college level prospects. Alexander plays with OTP on the Puma Circuit alongside

, two players in the top 10 of our rankings. Alexander is a tough on-ball defender who can also attack a closeout and make an open shot. I expect scholarship programs to like his toughness and physicality from the guard position.

One of the top on-ball defenders I watched all weekend, Alexander really makes opposing guards work when they want to attack off the dribble against him. Not afraid to take on the top scoring option or switch within the defensive possession, Alexander is going to pressure the basketball and make it uncomfortable for the opposing guards. Offensively, Alexander made enough shots off the catch playing alongside Williams and Greg Howard, who provided a majority of the on-ball creation. I liked that Alexander continued to bring quality effort defensively while also being ready to contribute when the ball was swung to him, another talented guard to watch on OTP.

Alexander is a burly utility guard who makes his presence felt lumbering his way downhill and enjoys finding contact. He got to the foul line. Alexander is an assertive on ball defender who is able to cover a ton of ground. He added 7 points with most coming in the first half.

Making the move from New York to Spire, there was a local college program from near where Alexander is from at practice checking out him and the rest of the team the same morning I was there. What immediately stands out when you watch Alexander is his relentless on ball defensive pressure. This guard flat out gets after it on the defensive end of the court. Alexander was making life miserable for opposing point guards even getting the ball across half court. A limited offensive player, Alexander definitely will earn playing time and college interest due to his defense.
