Prep Hoops Ranking: 57th
Next highest ranking: 77th Rivals
One of the most efficient scorers in the Nike Scholastic League, Rinaldo-Komlan has came from France to Spire and has continued to improve each month he’s been in America. A prospect who I thought would be more of a high major project, Rinaldo-Komlan’s production throughout the season has made it clear that he has the potential to play immediately for Iowa State next season, a program that’s been competing at the top of the Big 12.

A prospect Prep Hoops was first to rank nationally, Rinaldo-Komlan is starting to receive buzz from other national outlets. It’s easy to see why as he was incredibly productive scoring over his right shoulder and finishing with his dominant left hand. Rinaldo-Komlan ran the floor and scored multiple times by beating opposing bigs down the court and simply crashing the offensive glass. While the flashes are incredibly intriguing, Rinaldo-Komlan still has plenty of room to grow offensively but that should make him even scarier to face when these skills improve with more polishing. Iowa State got a forward who perfectly fits what they want to do and has tremendous long term upside, a perfect pairing.

An under the radar prospect coming from France, other national rankings websites haven’t gotten the opportunity to see Rinaldo-Komlan in person yet and I expect him to appear on other national rankings lists before the end of Spire’s season that include trips to various Nike Scholastic events, Flyin’ To The Hoop, Hoophall and more. Rinaldo-Komlan was not under the radar with high major college programs and decided on Iowa State recently. With impressive physical tools and soft touch as a shooter, the lefty forward screams long term upside. I expect Rinaldo-Komlan to continue to improve as he adjusts to the American game and should be a valuable developmental piece for the Cyclones program.

Coming from France, Rinaldo-Komlan is a 2007 born prospect who shows lots of traits you’d look for in a modern power forward. The lefty has a plus wingspan, length to block shots and dunk in traffic, a soft shooting touch and impressive physical tools. Playing under legendary Head Coach Kevin Boyle on a Spire team that’s loaded with high major talents, Rinaldo-Komlan is a prospect who will be well known on national radars when everybody gets to see Spire at numerous high-profile events this winter.

Coming from France, Rinaldo-Komlan showed incredible potential in my first viewing of him on Monday. The lefty forward has a smooth shooting stroke and a +5 ish wingspan that allows him to alter shots and finish with his length. His physical tools combined with his perimeter shooting ability makes him a prospect I’d expect high major programs to get to know Komlan sooner rather than later.
