Another game where Hyatt got busy as a scorer, Hyatt plays hard, has teammates who look for him, has the ultimate green light and is efficient. That combination of skills gives him the ability to take over a game at any moment, like he did in the first half on Saturday afternoon for Spire international. Knocking down a handful of deep 3-pointers, Hyatt eventually started making crafty two-point field goals off polished footwork, fakes and dribble moves. A certified bucket from the off-guard position, Hyatt should be on scholarship radars.

Despite leaving with a narrow loss in overtime, Hyatt impressed for the second straight night with a 20-plus point effort while leading his SPIRE squad down the stretch of the game. What he lacks in physical strength he makes up for in flair and moxie, weaving around defenders with a shifty handle and punishing rotating defenses with crafty reads on the move. He also shows to be an effective shooter both in the pullup game and sliding off-ball for spotups. Hyatt may need time to adjust to college-level physicality but the North Carolina native looks like a clearcut scholarship-level prospect who D1 programs may want to check in on heading into the spring.

The second prospect from Spire’s international varsity roster making an appearance in this article, Hyatt is an impressive scorer who plays hard and finds opportunities to put the ball in the bucket. With soft touch on layups, floaters and jumpers, Hyatt can have shots roll around the rim before falling through the net. Originally from North Carolina, Hyatt should generate scholarship interest from both programs around the Midwest and in the Carolina’s.

Hyatt had a monster weekend with massive scoring outbursts on both Saturday and Sunday for Spire International Varsity. I was impressed by the juice he showed off the dribble, being able to attack closeouts by using crossovers and pump fakes to get the defense off balance. A volume shooter from the outside, Hyatt can rattle off three made jumpers in a row when he gets going. His production as a scorer off the ball really stood out over the weekend. Hyatt is a no brainer scholarship target and should draw attention from schools in the midwest and in the Carolinas where he is from.

Coming into the event I hadn’t had a chance to see Hyatt outside of his role at Word of God. With Strictly Ballas over the weekend, he played with some extra freedom and left me truly impressed. On the defensive end, he took the initiative to guard other guards full court while still running the show at times offensively. Deep range, playmaking, and some underrated athleticism make him a prospect to watch for and remainder of the summer.

Solid lead guard who can knock down three or jumper off the move. He is a good passer-by who can penetrate and kick or finish at the rim. He has solid two-handed game and can “D” you up too! A prospect to keep tabs on in the spring.
