What would the rosters look like? What would the games look like? What was the Class of the Classes? We explain now!

The Clash of the Classes was two games, it was the incoming freshmen taking on sophomores-to-be, and it was juniors-to-be against seniors-to-be (it was also held in early June so any transfers entering the state this summer would not have thought to enroll yet).

The first event was held at Augsburg and had a young Brad Davison and McKinley Wright leading the frosh against Amir Coffey and company in the sophomore group. And it was Tyus Jones, Rashad Vaughn, Reid Travis, and JP Macura stepping on the floor against Marshawn Wilson, Sacar Anim and company.

The event then moved to Concordia-St. Paul for a few years and then Prep Hoops moved on from the summer event because of availability of the players.

But if we still had the Clash of the Clashes, what would the rosters look like? Keep in mind, this is NOT the top ten players and keep in mind this is NOT the top ten prospects, it's getting ten guys on the floor to make a team so you need ball handlers, bigs and wings and we do our best to make a team of it. Here are the ten names for each class we would have likely called for the event (and this would be more of an emphasis on the now as opposed to prospect status).

So, would there be an upset? We've seen that happen before!

2026 vs 2027

2026 Guards: [player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'], [player_tooltip player_id='1560882' first='Cedric' last='Tomes'], [player_tooltip player_id='1560868' first='Joseph' last='Mitchell III'], [player_tooltip player_id='1560739' first='Max' last='Iversen']

2026 Wings/Forwards: [player_tooltip player_id='1560867' first='Christian' last='Wiggins'], [player_tooltip player_id='1560778' first='Nolen' last='Anderson'], [player_tooltip player_id='1560740' first='Dothan' last='Ijadimbola'], [player_tooltip player_id='1560835' first='Tian' last='Chatman']

2026 Bigs: [player_tooltip player_id='2115655' first='Ryan' last='Kreager'], [player_tooltip player_id='2100912' first='Stephen' last='McGee']

2027 Guards: [player_tooltip player_id='2126117' first='Malachi' last='Hill'], [player_tooltip player_id='2126102' first='Jaeden' last='Udean'], [player_tooltip player_id='2126474' first='Kamar' last='Thomas'], [player_tooltip player_id='2126118' first='Tyler' last='Forrest']

2027 Wings/Forwards: [player_tooltip player_id='2126094' first='Ty' last='Schlagel'], [player_tooltip player_id='2126467' first='Baboucarr' last='Ann'], [player_tooltip player_id='2420169' first='Ahmed' last='Nur'], [player_tooltip player_id='2126115' first='Vincent' last='Cronin']

2027 Bigs: [player_tooltip player_id='2126446' first='Mustafa' last='Mohamed'], [player_tooltip player_id='2126108' first='Jack' last='Thelen']

Prediction: This would be a very interesting game where I think the 2027s would use motivation and playing hard/tough to keep it close but in the end I think the guard play in creation from the 2026 group would eventually wear down the 2027s. I think physically the 2027 group would match-up just fine, I just think as the game wore on the edge of guard play would be the difference leading to the senior win.

2028 vs 2029

2028 Guards: [player_tooltip player_id='2560499' first='Kevin' last='Wilson Jr.'], [player_tooltip player_id='2560534' first='Tre' last='Moore'], [player_tooltip player_id='2387331' first='Grant' last='King']

2028 Wings: [player_tooltip player_id='2560458' first='Emmanuel' last='Oyesanmi'], [player_tooltip player_id='2394170' first='Alex' last='Loos'], [player_tooltip player_id='2397555' first='Brady' last='Molenaar']

2028 Forwards: [player_tooltip player_id='1895712' first='Daniel' last='Zoa'], [player_tooltip player_id='2557528' first='Ichima' last='Idoko'], [player_tooltip player_id='2435240' first='Zeke' last='Gilbert'], [player_tooltip player_id='2400080' first='Nolan' last='Greene']

2029 Guards: [player_tooltip player_id='2916865' first='King' last='Smith'], [player_tooltip player_id='2353796' first='Jaylen' last='Greer'], [player_tooltip player_id='2853260' first='Beckham' last='Nelson'], [player_tooltip player_id='2419997' first='Gio' last='Horton']

2029 Wings: [player_tooltip player_id='2486564' first='Kolden' last='Johnson'], [player_tooltip player_id='2848538' first='Justus' last='Dayee'], [player_tooltip player_id='2916881' first='Mal' last='Jok']

2029 Forwards: [player_tooltip player_id='2821845' first='Malik' last='Martin'], [player_tooltip player_id='2916849' first='Mekhi' last='Abner'], [player_tooltip player_id='2393884' first='Dexter' last='Simmons']

Prediction: This..... would be quite a game to see. This is a very good group of incoming freshmen and there are spots that they would compete. I don't think we would get the frosh vs sophomore upset again, because the 2028 guards would likely use that maturity to earn the win (assuming they play a team game, and not an all star showcase game) but also because there are some mature 2028 kids who would just have a physical edge.

What would the rosters look like? What would the games look like? What was the Class of the Classes? We explain now!
