Justus continues to improve and looks like a serious prospect in Minnesota’s 2029 class. His athleticism looked on another level this weekend, blocking tons of shots and throwing down some crazy dunks, including the best poster of the spring I have seen. He plays with great physicality and was unstoppable when attacking the basket. Dayee can hit on jumpers in the mid-range and I think he is a consistent three-point shot away from being the number one player in this class.

Justus just continues to keep getting better, as he showed even more improvement this weekend versus a couple weeks ago. The 6’5” wing impressed me with his ability to create using the dribble and the threat of him pulling up for jump shots. I saw him connect on a very tough turnaround jumper, which was very quick and smooth. Dayee is also extremely athletic and is nearly impossible to stop from getting downhill, and he is able to guard a variety of positions on defense as well.

At 6’5 Dayee made a noticeable impact in the post for Lead Sports Academy over the weekend. Dayee is a force on the glass, grabbing rebounds with ease on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. His size allows him to box out defenders and create space when going up for boards. Offensively Dayee can cleanup in the paint as well getting to the rack with authority to score, while adding in a pair of dunks as well. Defensively the big isn’t afraid to get up and block shots, making life hard for opponents in the paint.

Justus put on a show in a night one win for LEAD Sports Academy. The 6’6 forward was swatting shots, throwing down two handed dunks, and showed he can beat smaller defenders off the dribble from the perimeter. Dayee showcased good timing on his three blocked shots throughout the game, and took one of them coast-to-coast for a two handed dunk. One of his most impressive plays of the game saw Justus bring up the ball, and split two defenders from the top of the key to quickly get to the rim and finish. Showed and explosive burst on that play that you don’t often see in freshmen his size.

Justus is another 2029 prospect fresh off a productive freshman season for a state contender. The 6’5” forward looks like he has expanded his game, showing off a lot of improved skill and athleticism. He is automatic on finishes around the rim, but also looked really good working on the perimeter and in the open floor. He threw down a pair of bigtime two-hand dunks in transition and made a couple nice passes to give his teammates easy scores. Dayee used his size and strength to work with his back to the basket as well.
