Molenaar showed off his good athletic ability in drills with a max vert of 38 inches, a shuttle run of 2.77 seconds (fastest at the camp) and a 10.44 second lane agility time (fastest at the camp). In the start shooting drill Molenaar displayed great accuracy making 20 of 25 shots displaying that floor stretching ability.

Everything I saw from Brady on Saturday screamed NSIC talent based on what I have seen from NSIC guys of the past, the way they played, and what Brady did at the Showcase. We arent just basing this on the showcase of course, Brady is a two time all state AAU player and a guy that was all league at Rosemount as a sophomore. What we saw this weekend that put us over the top is the way Brady moved, competed, has become stronger, and looks more agile and explosive. I think we are not only going to be talking about Brady as a three year AAU all state player, but a guy that is All State in AAAA as well.

If this was an AAU event, there would have been a collision on the baseline. You would have had all the dudes with video cameras running to watch a dunker dunk, and they would have collided with all of the college coaches running to watch Brady compete at a very, very high level. After Wilson, Molenaar was the most productive junior at the event. In fact, Brady was so good in so many ways, I think he is about to be a top D2 prospect pushing to the top 12-15 area of his class. He is even better than I thought when it comes to finishing with power and explosion, the smarts on the court, toughness, and touch.

Molenaar in 5v5 action was dominant, showing multiple ways to score in the half-court and transition. First score of the game for his team, screen and roll score. Later a couple put backs and then a post-up on the left side and took it to the rack for two. Molenaar ran the floor after a made basket for a lay-up and then hit a 3-pointer. Defensively he’s a threat for deflections and steals plus defending the rim. One possession blocked a player at the rim in transition he guarded up the entire floor one-on-one.

Brady is just so good in something like this. His intelligence and consistency leads to constant production when players start losing their energy. Brady’s footwork moving to the rim is so good and his timing in the halfcourt offense is perfect. Made shots from mid-range. scored nearly every time he had the ball near the rim including later game dunks plus he made some splash defensive plays. Brady is a perfect fit for Buffalo next season.

Molenaar is just so solid on offense and defense getting to any spot on the court and is effective. Molenaar can shoot from the perimeter, drive to the basket, he rebounds at a high rate, defends the basket, and is a good passer.

Molenaar is a solid athlete, active rebounder, good floor runner, and can finish above the rim in transition. Molenaar displays good strength, and moves well as a defender at the rim. Molenaar has good footwork on the perimeter and around the rim, showcases good passing ability and solid vision while also able to step out on the perimeter and make outside the arc shots.

If there was ever a great fit for what the Fury does, it’s Brady. He is a great passer, he understands the half court game at a high level, Brady is a high percentage finisher with strength and skill, and he can face up and hit. A very consistent producer for the top team in the state.
