Brooks Rechtzigel Brooks Rechtzigel 6'4" | SG Cannon Falls | 2028 State MN is a six-foot-four-inch 2028 guard from Cannon Falls that had a standout sophomore season that carried over into the 2026 AAU season. Rechtzigel had a sneaky dunk last year at the Sophomore Showcase and then continued to display the ability to rise up and finish above the rim consistently. Rechtzigel is good in transition, getting out running and finishing at the rim and he can shoot about average from beyond the arc while maintaining much of the ball handling and creation responsibilities on his high school team. Rechtzigel jumps passing lanes with his quickness and length and utilizes that ability to get blocks here and there.

If you want to talk perfect fit, Brooks moving and scoring in the Fury offense is deadly. It was like the offense was made for him as a shooter/scorer and after all of the numerous undefeated weekends it was Brooks averaging in double figures with good percentages nearly every time. Has played himself into that shooting prospect that local schools at the D2 level and maybe the Summit level need to get eyes on.

The outstanding summer of Brooks continued yesterday when he took the last shot of the game comfortably against the Lightning, and with his team down, Brooks made the buzzer beater and put his team up for the win. A clutch, clutch make as Brooks continues to flourish.

Brooks stepped up when his team needed him most in the 16u championship game. With things starting off close, Brooks hit two threes in quick succession to help Fury build their lead in the first half. That lead would eventually turn into 20 points in the second half, getting the clock running for the last 7 minutes. At 6’4 Brooks is a wing who can heat up in a hurry, as evident by his 18.7 points per game as just a sophomore. Continues to fill out his long and athletic 6’4 frame out on the wing.

Rechtzigel is another talented prospect for Minnesota Fury that is capable of filling up the statsheet. Brooks is an aggressive downhill finisher with a good frame for playing in the backcourt. I was impressed with Rechtzigel’s shiftiness and intelligence getting to the rim to finish, or draw enough contact to get to the free throw line. In addition to his ability to attack the basket, Rechtzigel has an efficient shot release in which he can shoot off screens and off the bounce. The six-foot-four prospect from Cannon Falls, will be an intriguing prospect in the state of Minnesota as he adds strength and keeps developing his game.
