Everything I saw from Brady on Saturday screamed NSIC talent based on what I have seen from NSIC guys of the past, the way they played, and what Brady did at the Showcase. We arent just basing this on the showcase of course, Brady is a two time all state AAU player and a guy that was all league at Rosemount as a sophomore. What we saw this weekend that put us over the top is the way Brady moved, competed, has become stronger, and looks more agile and explosive. I think we are not only going to be talking about Brady as a three year AAU all state player, but a guy that is All State in AAAA as well.

Bakke will likely be much higher ranked the next time around rankings wise. Why? At 6'10 he is already in a very select few when it comes to size and scholarship schools need that size. The next step from there is moving well, Bakke moves well. He gets up and down, is quick off his feet for his size and he can laterally step better than other big players. The next step is caring. Bakke seems to enjoy being on the court and competing. Those three things put him in a group of two in this class (with Ollie McKenna) that fit those categories. Erik will be recruited and he will get his chance at the next level. The next item is, how consistent can be be on the floor? Erik was productive this weekend, next he needs to be productive for his winter team.

If this young man can find some consistency this winter and into his 17u season, I think he has a world of potential. This is a top 25 level prospect when it comes to size at his spot, skill level, and physical abilities in terms of the way he moves. Clark is a consistent four months away from being on the radar of colleges because the ability is there, production is the next step. Clark was outstanding at the Expo and the way he played made me think Tarell Clark from Burnsville from years back (yes the last name helped me get to that thought!). Clark should have a huge year at Simley.

I loved the no nonsense production focus from Corbin throughout the day. He is 6'6, strong, and with great balance with the basketball leading to a load of paint finishes and rebounds. Petcoff gets up and down well and has some agility so everything is there to move to a top 75 area prospect at the least. Six-foot-6 productive basketball players that move well and have skill are being gobbled up by college coaches these days and it looks like Petcoff might fit that mold.

There is some core strength and experience that Auge needs to take the next step but as far as I'm concerned, we've seen enough from Auge to say that he is about to be a top 50 level prospect in this class. Guys that are skilled, 6'9 and that get up and down well are rare to find (we've said that before but that is the case with Auge too). The next step for Auge to get into an area of scholarship recruitment consideration is time on the floor and simply adding core strength (although give the kid time, he's grown numerous inches in a short amount of time). If/When that happens, keep an eye on Auge as a quality prospect.
