Forrest committed to South Dakota State recently. In 2023 I called Forrest the top incoming Freshman in Minnesota and Forrest was coming off starting at Chaska his entire 8th grade year. At his young age Forrest showed advanced vision as a passer and was already a plus defender with his instincts and athletic lateral ability. Forrest last season at Chaska showed up big for the Hawks, increasing his scoring average by eight points, and was the leader of their Class 4A State Title team.

Forrest plays the point guard position with fantastic pace and is a guard that can really get everyone involved offensively while being a high-level POA defender. Forrest looks to be playing the game faster and with more pace and his jump shot looks less like a set shot and more fluid than a year ago.

Tyler was a perfect fit for D1 Minnesota . He handled when Malachi and Deon were in scoring roles, he played off the ball when they had the ball and Tyler scored some, he was the perfect passer and decision maker for a team full of scoring options, and Tyler was a top defender. Several division one programs offered Tyler who was a big part in D1 making the Adidas semi-finals.

The pass first, hard working defender, state championship point guard recently added the scholarship option to state home and play for St. Thomas. In addition, Tyler also added July scholarship offers from South Dakota State, North Dakota, and Sam Houston State to go with an offer from Ohio. Forest now has a very strong group of schools to pick from as visits start in later August (although visits can happen this week as well).

Forrest scored 10 points, mostly late free throws to seal the victory, he grabbed 5 rebounds, and handed out 7 assists. Forrest just keeps making winning plays from the point position.
