Gores is one of the best seniors in Wisconsin and also a Mr. Basketball finalist ... In addition to his 34.7 ppg, he also is contributing 14.5 rpg, 2.2 spg and 1.1 bspg ... Gores can be effective offensively from different spots on the court, and is nearly impossible for smaller teams to handle near the basket ... Berghammer leads the team in made three-point shots while Gores is second on the squad in that category.

Prediction: Ladysmith doesn't have to make 10 or more three-point baskets to beat a good team like Cumberland. In fact, the Lumberjacks defeated Northwestern last month and made just three triples in the contest. But they had 22 assists in that game. Sharing the ball, defending as a unit and holding Gores in check will be required in order for Ladysmith to win its third match-up with the Beavers. Aquinas isn't a big team, but the Blugolds have good overall size and share the ball well ...
