Mark Miller | Prep Hoops Scout
The rangy junior wing prospect was Marshall’s most dependable scorer in the loss to Lakeside Lutheran. His go-to move was driving hard into the lane, stopping on a dime and then elevating over defenders for mid-range jump shots. He used that move several times against the Warriors en route to scoring a team-best 23 points. Miggins also likes to use his shiftiness and athleticism to get all the way to the basket. He visited the foul line 15 times on Friday, sinking nine. With added strength and a dependable three-point shot, Miggins figures to emerge as a good collegiate prospect over the next 12 months.

Miggins is a smooth player on the basketball court. He glides around looking for openings in the defense and then, boom, attacks and gets to the basket for layups. His quickness, creativity with the ball and slashing ability were definitely assets for Marshall at the WBY Tournament in Kaukauna. Older brother, Kenyon Miggins, recently committed to NCAA Division III Dubuque as a 5-foot-10 lead guard. Jaylen is more of a wing and is a bit taller. He doesn’t have the same facilitator skills of Kenyon, but Jaylen appears to be more of a natural scorer.
