Will be forever remembered in Mineral Point basketball lore for his game-winning rebound and subsequent basket in the final seconds of the Pointers’ 65-64 win over Kenosha St. Joseph in the 2024 WIAA Division 4 state-title game. He has done a lot of winning during his two years of varsity play for Mineral Point as the Pointers have gone 55-4 in that time span. Aschliman steps into an increased scoring role for the Pointers and new coach Bret McGraw this season and he showed in Prairie du Chien he’s up to the challenge. A strong presence on the floor with his size, strength and skill, Aschliman figures to rank among the very best players in the Southwest Wisconsin Activities League in 2025-26.
