Bahr was another huge piece for his team throughout the weekend. Calvin’s toughness, versatility, and consistency stood out every game. He made winning plays on both ends, defending, rebounding, communicating, and doing whatever the group needed in the moment. Offensively, he played with confidence, made smart reads, and knocked down timely shots. His composure and ability to impact the game without forcing things were big reasons his team had success throughout the event.
Bahr is a very intriguing prospect out of Aquinas due to his natural athlelticsm, his overall strength, and his diverse skillset to impact the game. I saw Bahr play on Sunday and was impressed with his overall play, even though his team lost to a talented Hoop Habits club. Bahr disrupted the game on both ends with his ability to play above the rim. In the first half, Bahr soared to swat an opponent’s shot right off the glass to turn defense into offense. On the offensive end, Bahr can elevate on takes downhill to the basket. Outside of his natural explosiveness, Bahr is very skilled, especially in the midpost where he uses superb footwork to score efficently and find cutting teammates. Calvin has a very high competitive spirit as he runs end to end in transition and took a charge despite the score on Sunday. Bahr is an interesting prospect to watch the rest of the spring and summer.
Bahr’s moto rarely stops and that is a good thing for another strong basketball squad at Aquinas. The 6-foot-5 wing player is constantly in motion and his aggressive nature has helped the Blugolds to an 11-1 record. Bahr is averaging 19.7 points, 10.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists on a team that includes other standouts such as Logan BeckerLoganBecker

. Bahr is particularly effective driving to the basket and drawing fouls. He leads the Blugolds in foul shots and is connecting on 82 percent of his tries from the stripe.
Bahr had some key moments in the WIAA Division 4 State Tournament last March while helping Aquinas captured the state crown, and then he turned around and developed his game at a rapid pace with playing a big role for the highly successful Davis Brothers Elite
club team. An aggressive player with good size and strength, Bahr can play either guard spot or even small forward. His versatility also extends on the other end of the court as he can guard multiple positions. Bahr is a good long-distance shooter and tough to contain off the bounce as he comes at the defense with full force.
Bahr proved to be the best offensive player on the best 16U team at The Rock Spring Classic as he led his squad to the Platinum Bracket championship with his aggressive play off the bounce, his ability to finish at the rim and his penchant for making some big three-point shots. One of the hardest-working class of 2027 prospects in the state, Bahr is a physical player with size and a strong desire to help his team win. He accomplished a lot as a sophomore at Aquinas, helping the Blugolds to a share of the Mississippi Valley Conference title, a regional title, a sectional crown and, finally, a WIAA Division 4 Gold Ball. Bahr averaged 13.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists while helping Aquinas to a 26-3 record.
