Wyatt is finally tapping into his potential, and that makes Creek a dark horse contender. At 6’11, he’s coordinated, mobile, and finishing everything. This summer, we saw hooks, dunks, rim touches, and him battling down low. He’s blocking and altering shots, running the floor, and playing with a new edge, and that is all that anybody has ever asked for. With his size and ceiling, he becomes the top center in the league and a breakout candidate statewide, with all eyes being on him and a big void to fill. He’s the most exciting player in the conference.

Carpender is undoubtedly the class’s biggest “what if.” If he pans out and reaches his full potential, then the sky is the limit for him. Right now, he looks better than he’s ever looked, and he makes a jump because of that in the rankings. He catapults into a spot this year where he gets more minutes and there’s more opportunity to prove himself. Over the summer, he showed good hand-eye coordination, grabbed boards, and went up for dunks and hooks, and was a bit more physical than we’ve seen from him. He’s starting to progress into a 6’11 big man that protects the paint, makes it hard for players to get anything around him, and is a potential two-way star. It’s coming together for him, and we’re seeing it. He makes the jump in the rankings and could easily make an even bigger one once the season gets here. He’s a player I feel everyone will be ALL-IN on very soon. Keep it up big fella!

Carpender has the size and length that most players simply don’t possess, and he put those physical tools to work this weekend. He was tough inside, using his frame to seal off defenders and dominate the boards on both ends. Offensively he converted rebounds into second chance points with strong putbacks and smart positioning. His length disrupted passing lanes and altered shots on defense, while his awareness and effort on both ends made him a constant matchup problem. Carpender’s ability to impact the game in multiple ways set him apart and made him one of the standout performers of the tournament

With Colorado’s top prospect gone, Carpender steps into the spotlight. Carpender is a 7-foot junior with major upside. Wyatt has showcased rim protection, floor-running, and physical finishes with Elevation this grassroots season, but we don’t need it to be flashes; rather, we need it to be the norm. We’ve seen him use his size well, skying for dunks and controlling the paint, and want more of it. Sitting at No. 32 right now, he has one of the most anticipated seasons ahead. If he puts it all together, a big rankings jump is coming as well as college attention, as he’s oozing with potential.

Carpender firmly belongs on the must watch list heading into the weekend. At 6’11”, his rare blend of size and emerging versatility point to an expanded role and increased impact this year for Cherry Creek. Defensively, his size alone alters shots at the rim, but it’s his disciplined technique and positioning that truly elevate his impact. He consistently boxes out, challenges attempts without fouling, and anchors the paint with a strong understanding of timing and spacing. One standout performance saw him secure 11 rebounds, highlighting his ability to control the glass and create second-chance opportunities. On offense Carpender is beginning to find his rhythm. While still developing on that end, he’s shown promising flashes. With continued growth, Carpender has the tools to become one of the most dominant interior forces in the state
