Barry continues to look like a big with legitimate long-term upside because of the combination of size, and instincts. What goes quietly about his game is his defensive impact, and if he hones in on that part of his game, it will be the reason that he plays at the next level. He changes shots, rebounds well, and has started to look more comfortable physically against older competition. He’s played extremely well with his team as they’ve been competing against the top teams in the state as well as nationally, and we also got to see him compete with the older guys as well. He shows that he can fit in and stand out, and the tools translate. The explosiveness and finishing ability are there as he’s had some highlight dunks and finishes, and now it’s about consistently imposing that presence at the varsity level. He made a rise in the rankings and will continue to rise as his game evolves. Solid prospect.
Barry looks like a seasoned vet every time he steps on the floor, playing with strength and poise beyond his years. He established himself down low, using his physicality to control space and finish through contact. At the same time he showed the ability to step out and knock down the three, adding versatility to his game. His athleticism popped as well, playing above the rim and making impact plays. Defensively he showed the ability to guard multiple positions, switching comfortably and holding his own. Barry’s all around game and maturity made him one of the more complete players all weekend
Barry’s physical tools immediately jump out with his size, length, and athleticism. He was active all weekend, finishing above the rim multiple times and grabbing rebounds in traffic. He gets inside and shows off soft touch and a mid-range game that keeps the defense off-balance. He also had one of the top dunks of the event, showing his explosiveness and ability to go up there. Barry has a two-way presence with upside, and that makes him a very intriguing prospect. He’s going to be good when it all comes together, and if Barry continues to trend upward, this looks like a big summer for the forward.

has quickly established himself as a high-upside interior force for Cherry Creek. Featuring a lethal 6’4 frame, Barry entered the season with significant momentum after earning awards at the Mile High Hoops Freshmen Academy Camp. On the varsity stage for the Bruins, he has translated that potential into production, primarily impacting the game through his explosive finishing above the rim and his defensive versatility. He’s got the ability to cover a tremendous amount of ground, resulting in blocked shots while showing the agility to run the floor with purpose in transition. As he continues to polish his mid-range and perimeter game, his combination of physical gifts and defensive instincts makes him one of the most intriguing long-term prospects.
Barry is a freshman with a highly anticipated season as we’re excited to see just how much he can step in and help over there. We expect him to be able to get varsity minutes this season as he plays with the power at the rim, run the floor with purpose, and also steps up as an offensive go-to as well. It all stands out. Barry crashes the glass, protects the paint, and brings energy every possession. As his perimeter and mid-range game grows, his two-way ceiling becomes scary. The upside is real, and now we want to see it on varsity. He’s a player we’re very excited to watch.
Barry has some impressive film to say the least. His ability to elevate above the rim for highlight reel dunks immediately stands out. He also uses that same explosiveness to crash the glass and protect the rim. His size and athleticism make him a constant threat on both ends where he runs the floor with purpose, finishes strong in transition and brings energy every possession. What makes Barry such an intriguing prospect is his physical tools and how well he applies them within the flow of the game. As he continues to develop, expanding his mid range and perimeter game will make him even more versatile offensively. Defensively using his length and leaping ability to become a consistent shot blocker and true anchor inside could turn him into a complete two way force. The upside with Barry is clear and his ceiling is high while continued skill development will only push him closer to reaching it
