Kayden is a player who we’ve seen do nothing but grow, both on and off the court. He’s 6’8 and the most college-ready player in the class in my opinion due to the fact that he can consistently knock down the 3-ball, hit the mid range, has a back to the basket game and whose athleticism makes him such a nightmare matchup and he seems to get better every time that we see him. He was solid during the high school season but will have to up his numbers and find ways to be more involved and dominant in games and from what we saw from him over the Summer, he could very well do that. Kayden was a name to know on the Adidas Circuit for Tru Colorado, was very good at UNC camp, was a Top 3 player at Metro State Camp, as well as Air Force Camp and Colorado Live and really might’ve separated himself when he came to the Expo as a Top-10 player and had a Top-2 type of day. Patrick is so versatile with his size and has a chance to really make a name for himself in the next 365 days that can set him up for future success. He’s the No.2 player and the no.1 PF in the 2028 class. 

Patrick came into the event and took it seriously and that’s what you ask for for a top guy in the state. He’s made a jump and could’ve mailed it in until the HS season but he wants to get out and compete, get better and push himself and that goes a long way. He was dominant as ever. There were times that he looked too big and the other prospects there looked hopeless at times. Scary thing is I think he’s getting taller. He was handling the ball like a guard, bringing the ball up the floor, handling pressure and still getting to his spots and his 3-point shot was also on. He hit multiple in a row, worked the middle, got some back to the basket plays and also had some wild dunks including a windmill dunk through the lane that shows how versatile he is. If he wanted to have his way on the block every play he could and he should try and find a way to start games out maybe with 8-10 points down there and then open up just to see some go through the net. For him to be the highest ranked player there, he treated it like he still wanted to get better, and had a stretch where it got chippy with another top guy and he was losing the battle and then realized what was happening and took on the matchup and said that he wanted to defend a guard. It was fun and a fay that I feel like I learned something about him actually. Solid day and a top 2 guy on the day.

Patrick was another of the big riser from the weekend, consistently making his presence felt on both ends of the floor. He is incredibly smooth and composed in the low post, showing the patience and confidence of a seasoned player whenever he touched the ball. His footwork, balance and technique created matchup problems for nearly every opponent he faced, allowing him to score efficiently around the basket. Patrick’s impact was just as important defensively for the Bruins. He protected the paint, battled for rebounds and consistently cleaned up possessions on the glass. His toughness and physicality helped set the tone for Cherry Creek and played a major role in the team’s successful weekend performance

This was a coming-out party for Patrick. He’s shown flashes for the past two years, enough to make a significant jump in the rankings, and he has his moments where he looks unstoppable, but this was the longest that we saw him sustain that level of dominance. We watched 4-5 Creek games at the event, and he was a big reason why they won the whole thing. Kayden’s shot was on as he hit multiple 3-pointers in each game, he knocked down mid-range jumpers, and he also had a few spin baseline vertical dunks that no other player in the state is making. He challenged himself defensively, demanded the ball a bit more than we’re used to seeing, and made the best of the increased usage. We heard that he was having a pretty solid start to the Spring, and it was good to see an assertive and dominant Kayden. He picked up an offer after the weekend. Wait until he realizes just how good he could be. 

I really liked Patrick’s aggressiveness on the interior, using his frame well to gain position on the interior. Patrick did a good job of doing the work early to gain position and was productive after he caught the ball on the interior. Scoring with his back to the basket, Patrick was patient and used pivots well. Also flashing some shooting, Patrick liked the baseline to fire away. With his production and size, I’d give Patrick a good chance to make a push for the top 5 in Colorado’s 2028 class.

Tallying just under 12 PPG, 7.7 RPG, and 1.6 BPG, Patrick utilizes his size to torch unlucky opponents who have the tough ask to guard him. Defensively, Patrick communicates through screens and always rotates over to the help side. Only in his second year, I see Patrick taking the 15-4 Bruins to a long playoff run at least.

Patrick was the real deal this week, using his big, physical presence to control the game. He finished with 17 points but was relentless and difficult to guard inside, consistently bullying his way to the basket and scoring with ease. On the defensive end he owned the paint, taking away interior looks and forcing opponents to settle for contested shots from the perimeter

Kayden went on a tear this summer and proved why his rankings jump was real. And some people still don’t believe.  At 6’7, he’s one of the most polished, all-around prospects, scoring at all three levels and defending the rim. Kayden has a smooth stroke, face-up game, back-to-basket looks, and should be a fulcrum of the offense. He has it all. With a target on him now, consistency unlocks his breakout, and college interest skyrockets. This is a make-or-break year for him, he will have to step into being the guy or it becomes fully just potential. As we know, I am high on Kayden. 

Patrick continued to build on his strong play throughout the fall league, showing a growing sense of confidence and assertiveness on both ends of the floor. His quick footwork and strength around the rim made him a consistent presence inside, while his ability to box out effectively helped create second chance opportunities and jump start fast breaks for his team. Offensively Patrick’s game continues to expand while showing he can score from multiple spots on the floor and is becoming more comfortable taking on a larger offensive role. His blend of toughness, mobility and confidence makes him a reliable contributor who impacts the game in a variety of ways

Kayden is a player who makes the biggest jump of any player in the rankings over the summer, and while it may be a surprise to some, there’s something to say — Players get better. This one makes sense to me. He’s a real 6’7, he is a three-level scorer that is now looking more explosive, has a great motor, and is very skilled for a prospect his size. He’s now starting to realize the type of player he is, powering through defenders and dunking, and not relying on only size alone. He’s a willing passer who he excels on the block and spaces the floor for outside shooting and will likely start getting real attention. With changes at Cherry Creek and a summer of clearly working on his game, he’s a player that has made the jump and improvements you ask for in a player. He’s not a finished product and that’s scary for the rest of the class but he jumps from No. 18 on the rankings to a Top-5 prospect.
