Lirtzman is a player who I feel has a game that translates almost as much as any player in his class and that’s saying something for a guard who hasn’t played varsity quite yet. He’s skilled, makes so many IQ plays and always seems to be looking at what he can bring to the next play. His game is balanced and I like how he reads the court. Scotty can play both on and off ball but with the ball is decisive. He uses the pick and attacks, finds the open man, makes the extra pass and also is able to create for himself off the dribble. We also saw him play off ball as well at the showcase and he’s a reliable shooter with range. He hit a few 3’s in the row, got inside and hit defenders with creative finishes and got out and made plays in the open floor as well. I like how he can adapt in a fast-paced game but also can get good looks in the half court set with how he’s understanding the game. He’s a player who would easily be in the Top-15 and a strong argument for the Top-10. Solid prospect.

Lirtzman is a player we’ve only seen play up so it was great to see him with his age group, and he has plenty of areas that you enjoy. He checked a lot of boxes throughout the day, but what really stood out was how he was breaking defenders down off the dribble as a 1-on-1 scorer, how he got the defense moving with his handle, and he also made his move and went. There wasn’t a ton of playing around with the ball. There was a particularly sharp crossover that showed the separation he can create. He can shoot it, as well, and looks natural out there. Lirtzman plays both on and off-ball and can be effective as a cutter who spaces it, a playmaker who gets the offense going, and we saw him produce a ton of scoring opportunities for his team at the showcase. He seems to be a complete guard whose game translates. Solid day for him.
