I saw Tate in Denver earlier this spring and I came away very impressed once again in the Twin Cities. He is a very smooth guard, who plays at his own pace and an excellent lead guard to have. He can create using the dribble, being able to work himself inside where he can make perfect kick out passes to teammates or convert with touch or power at the rim. Edmondson can stretch the floor, as he is an excellent shooter as well.
Edmondson had a strong weekend and looked like a high upside athletic wing with plenty of tools. He attacked the basket aggressively, using his athleticism to get downhill and pressure defenders. His motor stood out as he flew around the floor, making plays in transition, crashing in on rebounds and bringing energy on both ends. What was exciting to see was his growing offensive skill set, showing flashes of improved confidence with the ball and more ways to score. Edmondson’s upside continues to rise. This summer developing a consistent jumper and continuing to grow his decision making will help unlock even more of his game
I really liked what Tate brings to the table as a lead guard with his combination of scoring and passing. He is very quick and crafty, as he was able to work around defenders on the perimeter with ease. He is also a knockdown shooter and needed a hand in his face at all times. Edmondson was hustling around the floor, working hard the entire game as well.
Tate is a guard who gets in in spot minutes for Lewis-Palmer and causes a spark when he’s on the floor. He runs the floor hard, battles for rebounds and can play on and off the ball. He can also finish in transition. He hasn’t taken many shots in games but makes them when it counts. He rebounds hard, he gets his hands on deflections and turns that into scoring opportunities the other way. We also like the type of rebounder that he is. He will make a debut in the rankings this go round and fight for minutes in the second half of the season.

came up clutch this weekend, leading his team to numerous comeback wins. With impressive patience and ball control, Edmondson was able to convert on several buckets and assists on offense. Being able to take defenders off the dribble and create space makes him a threat anywhere on the hardwood.
