Mindrup is having a season where he’s been the secret weapon for Lewis-Palmer, and now that he’s rolling, they’re winning. He’s been more consistent as a scorer as he’s taking what the defense is giving him. He’s slashing and getting to the rim, he’s finally found his 3-ball, and is engaged defensively. He’s able to impact the game when he’s not scoring and uses his size. We want to see that continue as Lewis-Palmer is getting ready for its playoff run. He’s the X-factor for the squad. 

Mindrup rises into the rankings from his nonstop motor and ability to impact the game on both ends. Offensively he stretches defenses with his perimeter shooting, forcing opponents to play him honest beyond the arc. What makes him even more dangerous is his movement off the ball where he’s cutting and finding open lanes for easy finishes around the rim. Defensively Mindrup brings that same energy and activity, staying engaged and using his quickness to create turnovers that lead to fast break opportunities. His combination of shooting, hustle and two way effort makes him the kind of player every team needs and it’s exactly what earned him his place on the rankings list

Mindrup brought relentless energy which stands out in a showcase setting but what I enjoyed is how he is attacking the glass and finishing through contact inside. His crossover created mismatches, often forcing smaller defenders into tough spots and finished right over them.  When doubles came, he made the right reads and kicked out to shooters. His willingness to move without over-dribbling and to compete physically was refreshing, as I feel he attacked the mismatch and made himself a difficult matchup.

Mindrup is a name that we were not familiar with heading into the summer, but after having a solid outing, we wanted to see a bit more of and hopefully he can get out to the event so that we can. Mindrup has good size as a 6’3 forward that brings you a bit of everything. He battles for boards with hard box outs, he sets hard screens and rolls, and he also can pass on the catch for an open shooter. Mindrup’s balanced game will allow him to be a weapon for Lewis-Palmer this upcoming year, but we also want to see him amongst his peers in a setting where he can be himself. We’d surely like to get him out there to compete. 

Mindrup heads into the upcoming season as a high energy player with the tools to contribute in multiple areas. He brings relentless effort every time he steps on the floor and finds ways to affect the game on both ends. Offensively, his deep shooting range forces defenders to extend, and he knocks down shots from beyond the arc with confidence. Mindrup also has the ability to attack the bucket with force. He thrives moving without the ball and makes smart cuts to get open at the rim. His motor, movement, and ability to stretch the floor make him a key piece to watch this season

Mindrup was an absolute force for his team all weekend long. He brought serious energy every time he stepped on the court and made an impact in just about every area of the game. His shooting range was a big problem for defenders where he knocked down shots from deep with confidence and stretched the floor. If he wasn’t on the perimeter, Mindrup was constantly in motion, making smart cuts off the wing and finding ways to get to the hoop for buckets. His motor never stopped and he was flying around on both ends of the floor, diving for loose balls, locking in on defense, and staying aggressive on offense.
