Nicholson has a bounce to his game that immediately stands out. He plays with pace, gets downhill remarkably well for a big and has developed into a legitimate interior threat who can finish both through contact and above the rim. He brings value on the glass, spaces the floor and remains a big time three point shooter, giving him a rare combination of size and perimeter skill. With Lewis-Palmer featuring a younger roster, Nicholson has a prime opportunity to take on a bigger role and make his presence felt. That opportunity paired with his skill set has us excited about his season ahead

Nicholson was one of the players who really gave us something to be excited about at The Expo, with his combination of athleticism, fluidity, and skill standing out immediately. His three-point stroke has a strong foundation, and his movement and footwork are impressive for a player with his athletic profile. He already understands how to impact the game as a screener and around the dunker spot, but we see another level waiting to emerge. When Nicholson consistently uses his athleticism to attack the basket, pressure defenders and play above the rim, his offensive impact is hard to stop. The tools are there and this could be a breakout season for him

Nicholson is a player that I battle with on rankings as he’s shown why his ceiling is among the highest in the class, but now we just have to see it consistently. At 6’7, he brings size, skill, and versatility as a three-level scorer and capable defender. He runs the floor, finishes in transition, and plays within the flow of the offense. With more aggression and consistency on the glass, Nicholson’s tools will translate quickly, and Lewis-Palmer could certainly use him as a surprise standout this season. He’s a player that we have seen plenty of flash from, but we have even higher expectations for. I think he has a solid season to rise in the rankings, but he jumps onto them after a very solid summer.

Moving quickly in transition, Nicholson spaces the floor well and crashes for every rebound. Staying disciplined inside the paint, Nicholson times his blocks and makes sure no easy buckets are allowed.

Nicholson’s size and versatility stood out at the showcase, and I feel that there’s a VERY high ceiling to him. He’s skilled enough to put the ball on the floor and knock down threes, which makes him one of the most versatile players in the class, but he flashes stretch big potential if he continues to grow. In drills, he looked dominant, and he also is not just gunning for points the entire time, but rather letting the game come to him. When aggressive, Nicholson’s tools allow him to control matchups. An aggressive Greg is the best Greg — he has the skill to separate himself, just want to see him stay in that mode.

Nicholson brings size, activity, and versatility to the court. He is capable of influencing the game inside while also stepping out to knock down threes. At the showcase, we’ll be looking to see him maximize that skill set by controlling the paint through rebounding, boxing out, and finishing around the rim. Scouts will want to see how he balances his inside presence with perimeter threats, reads the defense, and contributes on both ends consistently. A strong showing would underline his ability to stretch defenses, create mismatches, and be a true two way asset

He controlled the paint with strength and physicality, consistently going up with force and finishing through contact. His shot selection was smart and efficient, making the most of every touch. What stood out even more was his expanding offensive range. Nicholson knocked down mid range jumpers and hit from beyond the arc with confidence, adding another layer to his game. As always, he ran the floor hard, finishing plays in transition with easy lobs and powerful alley oop dunks. His blend of size, skill, and effort makes him one of the more dominant and consistent bigs on the floor

With a tight handle and shifty moves downhill, Nicholson has his eyes set on the rim at all times. Often the leading scorer on his 7070 AAU squad, Nicholson has acquired an immense amount of confidence to become the all-around forward he is. From knocking down contested, off-the-dribble shots to slithering inside and capitalizing at the rim, Nicholson is a nightmare to defend.

Nicholson is a player on the rise, and he wasted no time putting his full game on display in Day 1 action. With his size and motor, he flew all over the court making plays on both ends. Offensively, he attacked the rim relentlessly, embracing contact and finishing strong. On the defensive side, he was a disruptor—contesting shots, altering looks, and quickly securing rebounds to ignite the fast break.
