Jones is a bucket and made scoring look effortless all weekend. In the two games that I watched from him, he got to his spots, elevated confidently from the mid-range, knocked down threes, and showed no hesitation attacking bigger defenders around the rim. What stood out most was how comfortable he looked with the ball in his hands. He pushed the pace but was never sped up, and he was able to attack off the dribble. It’ll be really interesting to see how he plays once he starts to understand how to attack off of screens and making the defense collapse to where he makes the next play after that, as that’ll only make him a more dangerous player. There were certainly flashes of this new name player that let’s me think that he’s only scratching the surface. He’s going to be a name to know soon.
