Schmidt was everywhere for 7070 this weekend and made his presence felt from the opening tip. He crashed the boards with relentless energy, giving his team extra possessions by cleaning up misses and outworking opponents on the glass. Around the rim he was tough to stop, finishing through contact and making defenders pay whenever they lost track of him. Just when defenses started to figure it out and pack the paint, Schmidt stepped out and buried shots from beyond the arc to keep them honest. His nonstop motor, physical style of play and ability to impact the game in multiple ways made him one of the most entertaining and effective players to watch all weekend
