Okeefe makes plays that let you know that he’s a high-IQ standout. He was rejecting screens for iso scores, taking the screen to set up defenders, and scoring at the rim with strength. He also sets hard screens and cuts while using his size to overpower. Okeefe was getting to the FT line, got a couple of steals by just being in the right spot, and had a couple of high IQ passes where he showed off his vision to open slashing teammates. Okeefe has a balanced game where he was spinning off of players and finishing and filling it up when allowed to score, so he has to force more of those chances to show what he has. This was a big-time weekend for him as a guy that you put the ball in his hands and watch good things happen. I liked his left-hand finishes, his ability to get to the rim and footwork down low. He’s a kid to follow.

Ayden is the sole freshman who is playing varsity, and he’s actually getting time and learning. He’s been a guard who is going with the flow of the offense and doing what is asked of him. He’s running the offense and getting them in the sets, rotating the ball, and playing unselfishly. He’s been doing the little things. Such as rebounding hard and racking up assists, and that will only help with confidence and earn trust from his coaches and teammates. I expect him to earn more minutes heading into the second half of the season, and he’s a freshman to keep an eye on.

makes other teams strategize their game plan around him. OKeefe always has his head on a swivel, looking for open teammates to dish the ball to and make plays. One of the more impressive aspects of his game is his shooting, capitalizing on difficult shots in tights coverage. At 5’11 now, OKeefe still has more height to attain, which would make him that much more of a threat on offense. OKeefe is any defenses worst nightmare to match up against, and he will continue to make a big impact wherever he goes.

OKeefe had himself a weekend, showing out on both ends of the floor and doing a little bit of everything for his squad. His jumper was smooth, and he was absolutely locked in from beyond the arc. What really stood out was the energy he on brought every single possession. He moved well without the ball, found his spots, and got his shot off with ease. Defenders had a tough time keeping up and when he got open from three, it usually meant trouble
